-Better springs and struts will help TONS.
-Motor and transmission mounts, control arm bushings, and sway bar bushings and endlinks, if available, are all nice easy upgrades.
-Better tires obviously.
-I hear that torque damper is a good piece.
-Traction bars can be a TON of help but I think that 90% require some drilling at least.

hmmm. you want to go hard but cant because of wheel hop or spinning. ever think of tires? how about tires and rims?

He is my recipe to success. 17 x 9.5" rim wrapped in NITTO 555R's P245/45r17

Someone know where I would be able to get the rims from?

I think that you better to go with 15in with drag radial than going with 17 in imo

SS/SC's front brakes are too big for a 15", you canr get a 16" with some elbow grease and a grinder, file and sand paper.

Unfortunately 16" is the smallest rim that will for over our brakes.

tires are you main concern

i mean, yes, you could spend a lot of money on sway bars, struts, torque dampners and everything and you'd have a nice set up, but you can get the same job done with some nice tires

Sticky tires; 300 treadwear or so
Stiffer springs and more aggressive shock valving
Ingalls TQ damper.

Done deal!

not for me IMO. I am not doubting the performance gain but that is not what I am looking for in a street car. and I want to race what I brought. not drag tires in the back.

I will have gone from a 3.8" side wall to 4.6" and about an 1" to 1 1/4" wider. the Nitto 555R uses the same compound as their DR.

With this set up you can not doubt that traction will have greatly improved due to the rubber compound, sidewall height, and foot print of the tire. I am also set up for autocross and track days! which is what I want.

I am looking for those Nittos tread wear is 100 so beware of short life. they also have a tread depth of 6/32's then you need to find a rim to fit them.

I have BFG KDW2s and there work great!
I want to got a 17x8 or 17x 8.5 next year but I dont think a 17x9.5 will fit the car at all. that 2,5" wider then stock not 1.25 man.

I have 18x7.5s now and my tires have about 1" more ruber on the ground then stockers did.

Im geting 2.1 - 2.2 60' times but I think I can do alot beter. I think 2.0 - 1.9s can be had with street tires if track prep is good and the driver knows what hes doing.

The rims are 20lb each and the tires are the same as the stockers. So im saveing about 4lb each.

But Im having a problem with tred cuping on the 7.5" wide rim. They realy need to be on an 8" wide rim to get there best traction.

The KDWs, I have had 2 sets on 2 different cars. Good tire, HOWEVER weak sidewall. Does not take much to make it buckle. Go with the Falken 615. Like night and day.
