Question went with sportlines!!!! bumpstop Q?

okay so i have read in the sticky about cutting the bump stops, and how it HAS to be done

just wondering how many of you guys cut your bumpstops?

i did it and i dont have any problems. i have sportlines as well i just followed the directions there there for a reason.

whats the benefit of cutting them? cuz ive heard not to a couple different times

well if you dont cut them you might hit them on big bumps. if you do cut them your struts will probably wear faster. its up to you but i cut mine so if i blow a strut its gonna suck!

Longer life for the strut cause they won't bottom out

I have ssc springs, not sportlines, but I didn't cut mine and I have no issues...

the only reason i cut mine was i didnt want to put it all together and drive it and hit them. then i would have to take it all apart again.

i wouldnt cut them if the roads your on can handle not hitting them

i didnt cut mine and ive had no issues with noise or hitting and i have some pretty shitty roads

and if i dont i can bottom them out and blow them out anyways

if you dont cut them they might bottom out on the bump stop, you will save your strut from blowing out.

youll probably be good without cutting them. i have an 07 ls so the drop on mine is probably a little bit more than yours but idk.

if im not mistaken the main reason to cut them is because people were getting noises from there suspension when going over bumps and normal drivin bc of the bumpstops, hence they cut them and no more noise
