wheel stud

i was driving to the mall in the rain. when i turned left or applied brakes i would feel and hear a vibration coming from my front right tire. i get out and find out that 1 of the wheel studs that the lug nut goes on is broken off so i have 3 lugs holding it on. Does anyone know how much it will cost for a stud, the item # (or a site w/ it so i can get a general idea of what i'm looking for) and any walkthrus on it?

i called my friend and he told me to get the part, pull off the wheel, pull off the brake calipers, pads all that good stuff and then pull out the broken stud and replace it. Is that all i have to do?
i'm planning on getting te part tomorrow and then fixin it on saturday.
all input is appreciated.

you can prolly get it at any parts store. and its really simple to put on. just put the stud through and get alot of washers and tighten the nut on. Or you could spend some more money and buy the tool for it. The stud and nut would prolly cost around 20

my friend was telling me to prevent them from rusting you should get some closed lug nuts... i just ordered these, plus they are locking.

wtf?!?! i got the new one on, got the tire on and my stepdad was tightenening the lugs and another old one snapped under hand tightening (he wasnt even cranking it hard). I'm taking it to the dealer and making them fix my **** for free tomorrow. If they don't then i am selling my car, i have had about 7 problems w/ it and its only a year and a half old.
problems i've had
1. brakes
2. brakes
3. brakes
4. blower motor bearings squeeky
5. keyless entry
6. wheel stud
7. wheels stud (within 2days of the other one)

not to mention my windshield wipers and high beams dont always work.

this is not always the best way to do it. when pulling the stud through like this you always need to put a lot more torque on it to pull it through and seat it that the bolt is designed for, and it will stretch the stud. it may break pulling it in, or it may break down the road and you could end up doing it again.

the way i was taught was to pull the wheel bearing out and drive the new stud in, or use a press if at all possible.
