Shouldnt.....but it will kill the resale value......if you ever try to sell it.

How would it kill the resale????

If you look under general cobalt theres a whole thing about warranty.. Long story short they can only void it if something breaks, and they have prove you modifications, in this case the springs, were the reason...

not worth it if you don't plan on keeping the car for a long time. Springs arn't cheap and if you sell the car back to a dealer it will affect the price they give you.

anything can and will void a warranty regardless of any magnusson moss act or any other thing. basically it depends on if you can find a cool dealer or not. if warranty is important, talk to your dealer first, or leave it stock.

i thin he means putting springs wont void your engine warranty. Some dealers are cool about it, some dealers are not. I had one dealer tell me that my rear sway bar would void my entire suspension warranty, the car was in for vibrations in the front suspension. I first asked him why he was looking at the rear of my car if the front was the issue and then asked him to take it off the lifts and send the driver to come get me.

dealers do like to pull crap, but unless the mod u put on your car causes a malfunction and the dealer can prove it then that part that broke will not be covered.
look up magson moss warrenty for dummies it will explain everything.

i had a bad dealer try to pull stuff like this, so i got a lawyer and now they are in **** for violating the warrenty act

I was gunna say, Dealers can TRY to void your warrenty and go beyound the magnusson moss act, but they have to be pretty ballsy to do so.

Lowering the Car will void the warrenty of the parts that CAN be affected by lowering the car (Struts, Strut Mounts, Tie Rods, Drive Shafts, etc etc.)
