XXX bar on the street in an emergency situation?
You guys are wrong. Jboogie is right. The guy keeps lifted and was slow to counter. Rumble strips are meant to be driven over. Hell, sometimes the best line involves the dirt or pavement on the OTHER side of a rumble strip. The only kind I avoid are the giant alligator ones with sharp big drops that eat suspension and alignments. Just grooved or smooth? Run them the hell over and get on the gas.
Want a hint that it works? Look at all the rubber on them.

It's done to cut the corner, and prevent a pass, or to make a pass.
That thread hurts my head.
Still, you have to be driving awfully fast to make the car slide, and you shouldn't be triggering ESC in the first place on the street. I've never once had the car do anything *THAT I DON'T EXPECT* on the stock tires and hardcore bar, or the XXX bar on the street.

I remember seeing it done years ago on tv, the Rolex sports cup series iirc and thought that was the madness behind the method, so to speak..
