ZZP Replacement rotors vs. GM OEM premium rotors

I have an 07 SS/SC. I have near 73k with the factory rotors/pads and it is time for them to be changed. I am just trying to see if anyone has any idea if the ZZP Replacement rotors are the same as the GM OEM premium rotors. The reason I am asking is because I work for a dealer that can get OEM parts at cost+10% but want $66.xx each rotor as to where ZZP offers replacement rotors for 64.99 as a pair. I am thinking about pairing them with hawks hps but I am curious as to how good the Akebono Pro-ACT pads are in comparison.

Not sure about SC brakes, but on a TC, HPS pads are **** compared to the stock Ferrodo's. As far as rotors are concerned, stick with OEM as well.

Oh and get the OEM pads from CED to go with the R1 rotors. Its the setup I run and its fantastic. Sorry for not including that in my original post. When you change them, make sure to crank all the bolts well. I cant stress that enough. had a Rear caliper rattle loose on me after I changed them (didnt tighten them enough) and that almost lost me my balt!

Govenor, which R1 rotors do you have the e-line or premier? Did you get drilled/slotted, slotted or OEM?

Thank you everyone for the replies, although it didn't quite answer my question, it has me looking into more than just the two options.

Do you think it will look goofy since I have the ZZPL Cross Drilled/Slotted rotors in the rear? Maybe I could get the R1 versions for the fronts...

Premiums are much nicer. And unless you often track your car, you will never know the difference between the stock TC pads and the HPS pads, except the HPS have way less brake dust which makes them plenty worth getting.

I'll chime in here... I have an 07 ss/sc with ZZP Cross Drilled & Slotted Rotors paired up with Power Stop Brake Pads.

Breaking is better then my stock setup. The rotors look awesome and I have no brake noise, overall its a good combo for what I'm after (daily driving with some heavy pulls every now and then )

The main reason I had to upgrade is whenever i did a 3rd + 4th gear pulls (at different times) my stock setup got extremely hot and had crazy heat spots all over them. They also lost a ton of breaking power as I was slowing down to a stop. With my current setup this is non existent. This includes multiple braking from 140mph down to virtually a stop.

The only complaint is the rotors look like they are getting surface rust around them and in between the holes, kind of an eyesore... when it gets warmer i plan to paint these parts black with high temp (like for a grill or something) to cover it up.

I heard great things about the R1 rotors as well, so it's your personal choice. Seems like most setups will work great for what your after based on how well the stockers did.

Are the HPS pads as noisy as the stock pads?
