Curious if anyone has the file for GMS1 tune on a 08 cobalt that they would like to "donate" me If I could get the file I could have a guy flash it at work using hpt. Would save me a lot of money and that way If i want to tune later the ecu will be unlocked already. If there is any complications that anyone knows of please fill me in.

I just checked for him and only see the stock.

Dear OP, you may have better luck downloading the GMS1 file for the 09, then doing a COMPARE in HPT software copy over the tables.

With that said, make sure to do a backup of your file that's on the car right now.

Then create a new file to copy the tables to.

Also, remember you need the correct MAP sensors to do this. If you have stock sensors you will need to leave the sensor info alone.

If this all sounds like Hocus Pocus, then stop

I will be installing the correct map sensors as soon as i figure out which tune direction im going in. If no one has the file for a 08 then if anyone is running around with a dealer installed gms1
i can use their vin to program my ecm through gm's tis2web at my work.

 

My gms1 tune was bought from GM for my 09, and I could get you my vin# if that helps.

 

The stage 1 is most definitely posted on the HPT website.
