adding extras

i have had my car tuned after i got a 3 inch pulley. im getting 42# injectors this week and i know i need a tune but in about two weeks ill be getting a header downpipe combo. should i wait and get the car tuned with the header on it or should i say forget it tune it with the injectors and then when i have a few more things done, tune it with all that on also? sorry for the run on sentence.

Personally i'd wait, get it tuned w/the header and dp to get the best possible tune.

X2 but it will not be a big deal if you cant wait to get tuned.

keep in mind, theres an old saying in the tuning world.
"you often make the most horsepower just before your engine blows up"

also, your probably running pretty lean with stock injectors and the stg2 pulley...most likely over 100% IDC, so get those new injectors in fast and make sure you have a little safety room in your tune. You dont want hot weather to throw off your whole tune and bow your engine because it was already tuned to its breaking point in cooler weather.

when it was tuned it was over 90 degrees outside and pretty humid. and yes the injectors were maxxed at 6k rpms so i dont run over that. smg did my tuning ask anyone in MA these guys know what they are doing. my air fuel was right around 10.5 to 1 im not 100 percent on that but im pretty sure thats where it sat. ive been running it hard with this setup now for 7k miles so if it was gonnas blow up it was gonna do it when i over revved it a few times at the track, but these engines are pretty strong.

i would wait.. toss in the injectors, and the exhaust components at the same time. a tuned 3.0 pulley is alot safer than most people think it is. just dont take it to 7k (you cant, unless he changed the rev limit) until you install the 42s.

ya the rev limiter was changed but i was told not to go over 6k yet. the injectors maxed out right there. on the dyno we could see at 6200 the ari fuel went way way up the charts so we stopped and didnt go there again. smg is a sponser on this site and the guys are genious with the ecotec motors. id reccomend them to anyone out here.and i have. ill keep you guys informed when i get everything setup it should make some decent power
