Since we are basically at sea level in the winter the dyno multiplies the raw numbers by a number < 1 depending on temperature, humidity and barometric pressure. This allows us to compare corrected hp/trq with other pulls that are made at higher elevations and with different weather conditions... My two pulls the other day were 1hp apart and were 275ąhp without the weather correction...

It was actually funny after he made the first pull with my car he looked at me and said "well I think we're done here..." I was like why? He basically said for what I have done he has never seen those kinds of numbers... He did a second pull I guess to confirm what he was seeing which was - 1hp and unplugged his laptop... I'm not complaining.

Really if you look at my dyno from August with only an intake and Stage II I was only at 223whp. I really think I just stumbled upon a good combination of mods. The header I have in particular was really impressive to me... Also I can't sing the praise of that Magnaflow exhaust enough for the $558 I paid for it shipped...

The way I read the article on dynos that was put up a few postings down from yours ...

The Mustang chassis dyno uses an Inertia load as well as an eddycurrent brake load to simulate the "actual" load (combined aerodynamic plus rolling frictional load) that the vehicle would experience when in motion.
So if I want to make comparisons on a dyno's whp as it relates to Factory HP (using the accepted 12-15% drivetrain loss figure), then aerodynamics should definitely be taken OUT of the equation.

Because when a manufacturer gives a hp figure for a certain vehicle's engine, they're definitely NOT figuring in for aerodynamic drag.

For me then, that article now formally ends the debate regarding chassis dynos.

I'm only interested in using the "non-aerodynamic loss configured" dynos.

Dynojets are the way to go people ...

That remark just got you a complaint to the mod.

Keep it up, and I'll continuously keep up my complaints.

And I won't stop until I personally get you banned from this forum.

Understand?

Mike, how come you want a ZZP 2.9 pulley? Why not just grab one from nate? I had his polished 2.9 and it was flawless.

That was my original plan... Matt has pretty much talked me out of the pulley, I'm just too lazy to update the sig.
