Not entirely true. Methanol evaporates so fast, it absorbs latent heat very fast creating a cooling affect. The problem lies in the fact that it evaps too fast. This is where the water comes in. It has a higher boiling point so it too produces a cooling affect and should do it better. The Meth helps for that extra bit of cooling as well as the octane boost.

Many people do straight water injection (as I'm sure you know) which is evidence at how well water works.

This is my understanding.

I get what you're saying. And it makes sense. When I tried running 100% meth and ran without meth for a while because my pump broke I personally didn't see any change in IAT2's after a pull.

I am term tuned and have nothing but good things to say about him. We got my tune dialed in in maybe 5 or 6 revisions. Now I know a LSJ-T is a bit different than a LNF but I'd recommend him. He lives in Florida.

water raises the flash point of the methanol.

pure methanol has a flash point of 54 degree's f. most grades you use are around 90 degree's.

Ok and I'm guessing the smart thing would be to start with the 3 and tune it then go to the 7 and tune for it?

No need to do that. Just put in the 7gph and tune away.

No reason to do that. Just throw the 7gph in and tune away.

Well depends on how you are setting everything up. I have mine tapped into my windshield washer tank and have the pump behind the right headlight. Made for a really clean install.
