Hey all,

I am selling my 3 cars to have 1 car payment so I can prep for my wedding (recently got engaged to my girl). I was planning on grabbing a Cobalt SS to have some fun with while I daily drive it. Only thing I am concerned with is the tuners in my area are very niche specific. I don't see anyone tuning LNFs. Anyone know where I could go once I have the car and the funds? Thanks!

Side note: Some good mail order tuners as well out there? I am searching, i saw BYT but hes not around anymore. I had PCMforLess tune my Camaro which was nice. Just realized they tune Cobalts too, nice!

yea im a trifect dealer and can get u tunes thru them i dynoed at 315 hp and 347 tq with a dp and intake.. im in hartford

Germlin85 is your best bet. I havent actually tuned an LNF, though I understand what's involved, I just dont have the time.

 

Gremlin would be your best bet on that. He's done several LNFs and LSJs, which will include mine at the end of march.

If you felt like making the long haul to Bethel, EfiLogics is awesome...a few friends of mine have their cars tuned by them...never heard a complaint

 

I know EFI Logics, I am not going to spend 800 bux for a tune though lol

 

not meaning to thread jack, but im also in ct and im looking for a tune on my 07 2.2

 

^ if your in northern CT you should check out SMG. its right over border in Mass

 

^can they do all the extras like trifecta? remove CA emmisions, speed limiter, and torque management?

 

Gremlin85 would be best bet for cost effectiveness and what his tunes have been proven to put down. He can take off all the things mentioned above and he is a great guy to work with.

 

I dont recommend tuning without a wideband unless your simply flashing the ECU with a staged base map. Others will disagree here but there is a sticky thread in this forum stating do not do it.

I also dont recommend modifying any emission monitors as you can fail inspection for this in some states and I am sure other states are getting onboard. Not sure if CT is one of them though but surrounding MA and NJ fail for this unless its a factory reflash

If anyone tells you different, question there tuning capabilities/knowledge and move elsewhere
