Post Dyno

Well... hit up the dyno for the first time. and.... well, to be honest, I was neither really ecstatic nor disapointed; i got about what i expected to get . HOWEVER, was kinda surprised bout my a/f.... I had 2 runs done in 3rd gear, and one done in 4th for ***** and giggles. FYI, it was done on a Dynojet. Anywho.... if you'll look, in 4th gear, i am running rich as ****!

any ideas? is this normal for a canned gm tune and an airbox mod? doesn't seem like it should be, but i've been wrong before! oh and btw thats off the chart in richness!

mods are as listed in sig. thanks for the input guys!

yeah airbox mod can throw off the stock maf reading.... but that's gm for ya... overly rich and safe. Weird though, I ran the airbox mod with a K&N E-1009 and it leaned me out stock into the jigh 11.s low 12'a and made 241 whp

Yup thats right on the money for the GM tune, my stock dyno dipped below 10.5 maybe even below 10 IIRC.

How can you check the A/F without a wideband?

A "sniffer" as I like to call them, or an A/F probe. Its just an external wideband A/F sensor that goes in from the back of your exhaust and clamps on, it also has corrected A/F for being so far back in the exhaust after the cat.
