Gawd there's more tables available for the automatic trans in that sucker than there are for the whole car in the cobalt world..lol

1LowLS 08-11-2010 01:04 PM

so apparently HP tuners thinks my car is a 2007 Ion haha

hotpursuit 08-12-2010 02:15 PM

does the e37 come in the 07 ion withthe l61?

1LowLS 08-12-2010 02:41 PM

I think thats the E67 which is supported by HP tuners

boostedsport 08-12-2010 02:47 PM

hopefully stalling and bad idle no mas along with stickey shiftin

hotpursuit 08-12-2010 02:47 PM

now i are confused. becuase my buddy wants to tune his Ion, and my tuner will do it, but he said he was waiting for the HPT beta version so he would be able to tune his ECM.

I was talking with a tuner here and hptuners didnt even know the ion had the E67 ecu which they support.my tuner tuned his 2.2 ion with hptuners so E67 IS supported

hotpursuit 08-12-2010 02:53 PM

hm ok, i do some talking with my tuner

1LowLS 08-12-2010 03:04 PM

just ask him to try it.my tuner has a close relationship to HPtuners and HP didnt even know the 2.2L ion had the E67.

hotpursuit 08-12-2010 03:07 PM

yeah i'll see, its hard though, tuner is 3 hours away lol..,

Actually our software was identifying the 2007 ion as HAVING an E67, not an E37 pcm, its just a vin thing...our software determines the pcm via the vin number, if we haven't added the vin information(which we hadn't in this specific case) our software takes an educated guess, in this case it simply guessed wrong. In that case we need to add the vin info into our source so it tries reading it as an E37

1LowLS 08-12-2010 07:45 PM

okay gotcha I wasnt sure on that.was just wondering why it read my car as an Ion and wouldnt connect to change fuel tables but would read to log it.This is gonna be a huge market though I think,im glad you guys jump in on this cause trifectas garbage tune sucks lol
