in california its illegal to make any modifications to your stock calibration without getting carb approval.

Its un-enforcable of course. Other states have adopted this same useless law.

The only people I ever see badmouthing the police are people who are doing things they shouldn't, in one way or another. Everyone here needs to listen to Adam and stfu.

And next time, go ahead and reach for the gun. Then I won't have to read have the **** posted in this thread.

And if any of you pull a gun on any of my friends who are cops I hope to see you in the ER that night. Cause I can guaranty that you will not be anywhere near our top priority. It's like the cop that got shot and killed and brought into us, and then a few minutes later the guy who shot him was brought it. Sure we worked on him, but no one in that trauma room gave anything near their all.

There are some things you just don't do, and a lot of those things have been posted in this thread. /soapbox

bah, So its okay if your dog pisses on the floor? Why not? He tried his "best".
No. you take the dog by the collar and you teach him he's wrong. Unfortunatly, no-one has the authority to do this with the police, so they continue pissing in the house.

This isnt past tense, this is in the present and future. And now your 200lb dog pisses anywhere he pleases.

As soon as you put on that badge you become one of those cops. You want to make a difference in the world, want to help people -> donate to the homeless, adopt a child, teach a rehab clinic, or any of the millions of things you can do to help this world.

keep that in mind when your filling your parking ticket quota.
wow nice job TRYING to sound intelligent. You really dont know what your talking about. The police are always in th publics eye. They do ONE thing wrong and its all over the news. If Joe Schmo did it, who no one gives a flying f**k about, it wouldnt make your local church bulletin. Because of that they get reprimanded all the time. The police have a very stressful job and put their life on the line everyday, this might choose them to be a little "wired". BTW, they get reprimanded by their supervisors all the time. And might i ask, how do you help the world? WHens the last time you donated to the poor or adopted a child? Im sorry, i did not know i was talking to mother theresa. My apologies.

They said I was using a device to commit an illegal activity which is what brought it from a civil offense to a misdemeanor.

just a guess, think im close?
The cop said I was doing 12 over. I had been doing around 140+ down the street but had slowed down. The cop told me he had no idea how fast I was going, but then lied and said 12 mph over. I saw the cop and hit my brakes even though I was doing 20 or so over, and by the time I got near him I was not speeding. He just had a hunch and used his authority to exploit my situation where it should have been a warning without having proof of my speed.

As for your assumption that my mouth started flapping, I did not tell the cop anything until after I was free to go. He was actually pissed that I would not talk to him.

If you were doing 140+ then you deserve to get ass-raped in jail. end of thread. And you do know it is possible for a police officer to use his radar when he is in front of you or behind you right? *******.

I was MILES AND MILES down the road when I did that. I do know that cops use front and rear radar.

So what, you have super vision I guess then, if you can see the cop and slow down, and yet he can't see you and your car speeding down the highway. You're going down and down more with every post you make....

And thats kinda hard to do considering you started off with a post saying you wish you shot the cop

sounds like all the facts are not here, and he did make varying posts about it, that is for sure.

ya dude, your right
you didnt deserved a ticket.

21 or 22 years ago, i was leaving the sweetgrass border crossing with a bunch of booze in the back omw back home to canada. buddy in the car said how fast does your new supra go anyway? my reply was WOT.
it musta taken that weak engine 10 milesto get to top speed, but low and behold, the first car i pass, was milk river RCMP. it was a full out gun drawn stop. i was respectfull, took my lumps, and was able to drive away but had a manditory court appearance. he didnt know exactly how fast i was going, but when your doing more than double the HW posted speed limit, they know your getting a big ticket. i was charged with speed in excess of more than 30 ph over the limit. he told me if i fought it, he have my ass handed to me in court and wouldnt drive for years if he tetified against me. i paid the 150 bucks, took my 4 points, and never did it again. but that was 20 years ago, things were so lax then. That is still the only gun barrel i've ever seen pointed at my chest.

but kids these days aren't too smart. My daughters BF, actually asked me if he could borrow my car to go night drifting in residential. his 16 yr old friend can drive..... ha ha
as ******* if...

some of you are straight retarded. You read his post about pulling a gun it hasn't been mentioned by him since and now your keeping it going like thats the only thing in this thread. Did some of you even read how fast he was going as he was pulled over? Do any of you live or drive in phoenix and understand his speed was probably 10mph below the norm? no? this isn't hick town where everyone knows everyone and everyone is each others grandpa and drives 30mph. The average street POSTED speed is between 45-55 MPH and the freeway is normally 55-65 though everyone goes 85 same with the cops.

im sure the cop just wanted to give him **** cus thats what they do here. My car was broken into (my 3000gt not the cobalt) and what did they say? They wouldn't even brush for prints cus there was a light rain coming in that just started even though I had pulled the car into the garage to keep it outa the rain. Cops are your best friend when you call? Bull **** that can never be and will never be in a big city. Most of them are know it alls that think their **** don't stink.

I think you might have missed this part...

So him complaining that he was pulled over for speeding and wasn't speeding is pure crap cause he just admitted to doing it and he's trying to pull off something about the cop not seeing him? If he knows the cop didn't see him, he would have seen the cop.

Also, if he's "tuning" why the hell do you need to do 140 MPH? I'm sorry but it is not that serious for someone to say "No no, 90 MPH isn't enough to tune for, I defenitley have to go to 140 in order to get that perfect tune...".

This is why they invented dynos. When you want to "tune" on the street, this is the problems that you face.

And one last thing, the cop pulling him over and arresting him for suspicious activity...

1. He was doing 100+ MPH and then slammed on the brakes when he saw the cop
2. Had a laptop in his passenger seat

I'm sorry but people don't drive around with laptops open unless they are doing something suspicious...example...war driving.

I'm done.

Actually, the only reason I would ever call the police if something was stolen or broken into is because insurance requires it. I won't even bother calling 911 since they will not respond unless it is one of two things; some thrill killer with hostages and multiple weapons (makes them look bad on TV when they bail on these ones) or b) a 9 year old kid misbehaving in school, since the police seem to get away with using a stun gun on the dangerous little monsters.

I do not hate the police, I just have no use for them, given the majority are power mad, corrupt, politically active wing nuts with guns. You think I am wrong? Try to find proof otherwise.

Trust me, he doesn't represent every american and is not the typical american.

And I'm sure there are scummy Canadians...labeling isn't necessary and generalizing leads to misconceptions and ignorance.

Smirnoff Ice and Zima was invented for Americans FYI, those Americans that didn't like coolers or beer but still wanted to not be embarrassed at the bars.. Well, it didn't work. I don't think canada gets either of those two drinks we only get moonshine and screech.

This is why wireless networking isn't safe. Read more about it when you get a chance...interesting stuff.
You nub. Wireless networking is completely safe if you set it up properly. I'd LOVE to see you break 128-bit encryption.

Not everyone uses encryption and have an open network...ask my neighbors...

You = Teh n00bz!

oh and there are ways to get pass encryption if you really wanted to...but that's another story.
