How to: Get your car tuned from another state
For those of you who have onstar, read this thread towards the bottom. They are tuning these cars without even being near the car!

if you do a pc anywhere deal, you can tune cars pretty much anywhere they have a wireless signal. how ever. the logger thing on the touch screen is pimp. im doing that this weekend

I took all the internals out of this dell I have and put it all behind the radio near your feet in that space. Hooked HP from the "computer" straight to the OBD2, and with the D3 = sex.

Some people have been experimenting with custom built CarPC's and cell phone networks for a while now. I had the Carpc in my old car streaming data to and from my home computer in my old car... so it's entirely possible to do a full HPT setup though the same system.

Im pretty sure this would be absolutely free if you think about it. All you'd need is a wireless router really, and your car's IP address. Im sure you can just call onstar and they'll give you everything you need.

that is sweet.and not all that hard if you think about it.i have to get a little screen and do this and it like haveing a dvd player in the car! and alot more then any head unit. how would you hook up the sound maybe with station frequ like the old disc changers??

anyone been able to get a ip address of there cars yet? i dont have onstar but i do have Aliant unpluged with is semi highspeed just plug it into a power inverter and you have internet on the go.
