HP Tuners

Ok, before it gets said I did search and couldnt really find anything. That being said,

I am interested in purchasing HP Tuners, but I am concerned that it may be over my head. I have looked at their website and looked at the different screen shots and it seems difficult but something I learn after playing with it. I would be using this on my 2008 SS/TC and probably a couple SS/SC and maybe a few 2.4's and 2.2's. I was looking at Hahns tune, but the price and the fact that it can only be used on my car pushes me away.

My Questions:

Is it inerchangeable between the different cars?
How difficult is it to learn?
Can you transmit a stock tune back to the car?
Would someone be able to send me their tune as a baseline?

Sorry if these questions are dumb, I am just trying to educate myself before making a purchase. If there is anything else you think I should know, please inform me.

Thanks in advance,

Devan

EDIT: I just found the HP Tuners Forum and some of my questions are answered there

If you're tuning a relatively stock SS (i.e. no cams, no aftermarket turbo, etc.), it's really not that hard. There's only a handful of tables you need to change. I'm sure if you were stuck, someone on here would be able to help you.

Thanks for the info. I don't think it will be to difficult just a matter of being patient and learning.

I like you License plate, there is a black on black cobra in town with the same tags.

Would someone be able to send me their tune as a baseline? When you purchase hpt you have access to a tune repository that has access to many tunes that users submit, not all are safe but you can use them.

Thanks for the info. Since it appears Stage 1 may actually be real for the SS/TC I may hold off on ordering until I figure out what I want to do. I will deifinitly be coming to you when if I decide to purchase it.
