You buy HPTuners.

It comes with eight credits.

The Cobalt needs two credits to licence the PCM.

The extra credits can be used, to license other vehicles.

Some vehicles require more than 2 credits.

The cable/box is where the information is stored.

You can license a complete model year for more credits.

Additional credits cost $50. each.

For more info go to HPTuners.com and check out their forum.

you can also use 6 credits to get all of one year of the same make and year of vehicles.

i can do 07 cobalts. another guy in town can do 06's

i used my last two credits for an 06 car. you get 8. if you run out of those, it is a minimum of 100 dollars to do one car from then on out.
