the spark tables take up a much larger part of the screen now and larger than they need to be, that im not happy about seeing as how my monitor res is only 1280x800, im virtually forced to get a new laptop because of this

Good deal! I 'll have to download this when I get back from my deployment so tuning can be done easier now! Thank you for your continued support when we thought all was lost!

Yeah I think that might be an issue created by Net Framework 2.0, not sure if its something we'll be able to fix honestly

I tracked down exactly when it changed but it definitely looks like about the time we went to net 2.0 so that very well might be the cause.

Bill, I don't mean to beat a dead horse but has there been any further consideration on the e16a pcm?

Since there is 2.2 tuning available now through other sources hopefully this question and the response I'm expecting won't start a flame war lol.

Does it offer Virtual VE tuning now or still just the coeff tables?

My HPT just sits on my shelf most of the time these days let me know if it's time to update to the beta..

thats what iv been waiting for... seems like forever and its really tempting to just buy a tune from clearimage but i will never forgive myself when the 2.2 is compatible with HPT

Unfortunately if you maximize the histogram/graph window then close the scanner & reopen it that it was happens, we'll work on the fix but it should be isolated to that scenario.

Its a net framework 2.0 thing, it happened under most situations pre 2.22 if you were only running net framework 2.0 which is why everyone had had to run net 1.1, we updated our software to better work with net 2.0 but for whatever reason it still does it under that situation. As Keith put it "You fix one thing only to break another"

Please put in a request in our feature request forum & I'll add it to the main thread, nobody has requested them as of yet afaik.

Yes, we've added a couple of dynamic airflow tables that were recently requested as well as many general enhancements that can be viewed at the beginning of this thread.

Has anyone figured out yet exactly what these new tables do? It says something about "filtered MAF", but I have NO clue what that means.

it sets the rpm threshold where the pcm stops referencing VE
i.e. uses mixed maf/ve up to the rpm specified, then switches to maf-only above the specified rpm.

the goofy thing is that every year of cobalt/ion seems to have different thresholds.

Well, see that's what I thought, but then everyone and their mother says that VE has nothing to do with anything on these cars (A point I have disagreed with), but if that's truly what those tables do then VE has played a roll after all. That is assuming that these settings have always been in the ECM and we are just now getting access to them...

yeah it may help explain some tuning discrepancies and anomalies between the different years of vehicles.

for example, my 04 Ion has a factory threshold of 3600 rpm, while some newer models of ions and cobalts are set to ~5600, and then the 07's seem to be set at 7000 or something like that.
