I need a modified stage 2 tune...

I need a modified stage 2 tune... fuel, timing, tq management removed...

somthing to hold me over for a little while... were having some tuning issues and need a good modified GM STG2 tune so i can have somthin on the car while we figure out whats wrong with this other tune.

i may use the stg2 tune as a base map if it's good enough tho.

All you have to do is modify the MAF curve by logging the car using your FT's till you get your WB in. Not as accurate as tuning of AFR error but it will get you in a ball park range.

Some say use STFT others say LTFT, but the fact of the matter is. Everytime I log the car I reset the fuel trims the avg is the same. Or you could set up a custom pid that takes the avg bettween LTFT &STFT and use that. You have a few options

Can Tunes not really the best solution. Unless Josh will help you after the base tune to dial it in. Other wise not the best solution.

So can someone give me a step by step walkthrough on how to modify the MAf curve? im getting KR at the top of 3rd gear and nowhere else... someone else who had the same problem said its because i need to tune the MAF...

if there is a way to do it without a wideband i would love to know because this tune seems to be pretty good other than the KR up top... im running 20* of timing right now with no KR anywhere but the top of 3rd... and we have scaled it back at least 5-6 degrees with no luck... i would like to be able to run 25* again because the car pulls like a beast when it's running that much timing...

on 20* i took out a DSM the other night with a built short block, cams, bullseye 57mm turbo, open downpipe and some other ****... walked him down by 2 cars from 40-75ish...

im sure i could have walked him much harder running at full potential.

Quick answer set up a histogram logging the MAF by both the STFT's and the LTFTs. When you go out to log your car make sure to reset the FT's and then copy the results out of the histogram, I use the LTFT one and copt by % half into you MAF table on the tune. After a few attempts doing this you will notice the MAF will be off by less and less. You want your MAF error between -2% and +2%
