Jet Performance Chip Questions
No dyno. No strip. Its what you get from me and at this point I'm apparently the first and possibly the only one (here) with a 2007 2.4L VVT NA Cobalt SS with the Jet Performance Module.
I'd really like to see someone else with the same engine / transmission / module provide a dyno run or a strip slip. Go for it!

2-3 mph conistantly in the 1/8th mile would be some pretty serious gains. That would equate to around 4-5 mph gain in the 1/4 mile which is huge.......I can see why the other guys are skeptical about that.
I'm kinda wondering about this: Do you need any mods done to the car in order to install a chip? Do you need to tune your car afterwards if you install a chip? And does the chip raise the max speed it allows you? My car right now tops out at 130.
Use "Google"... do a search for Auto Supply Discount Stores or for Jet Performance. Shop around. Don't order from Jet unless you want to pay full price. If I remember correctly, I paid something like $270 including tax and shipping for the Stage 1 module I bought.
No need to tune before installing. The Jet Module will modify the ECU settings / history as you drive through the first tank or two of 91-93 octane. Click on the link in my sig... it'll take you to pics of the K&N SRI install, there's a link at the bottom of that page to the Jet Performance GM Module install or http://www.csm-gh.com/ecu-jet-install.htm

INFO: The module does not go into the bottom connector -- this picture is incorrect. I Purchased the Jet module and the instructions show a GM ECM -- not a Cobalt ECM -- and it only has 2 connectors so the instructions make it look like it is supposed to go in the bottom. I looked in the 06 and 07 factory service manuals and discovered that the engine controls (MAF, H02S, etc.) are in the middle connector so I called the Jet Tech line and sure enough it goes in the middle connector -- NOT the bottom connector as pictured. The bottom connector runs things like the cooling fans. Both the middle (C2) and the bottom (C3) connectors are 73 pin.
This is where it goes -- the middle "C2" connector:
In order to get the ECM cover back on I had to cut a small section out of the lower passenger side of the cover to get it to go over the connector.
I like the increased low-end and part throttle response. Haven't been able to make a comparison worth listing but I do know it has quicker throttle response and the part throttle performance is definitely better.

After getting my car working better I finally put my jet chip in and again like the others are saying it makes better response but I have no idea if there Is a track or a dyno here in N.S.
If you have an auto you can really tell the difference from a 10-15 MPH roll -- you don't get the "lag" before 4K RPM. If you take the module off to check this you will want it back on in a heartbeat!
Thanks to "Red07SSNA" for noticing a "minor" problem with my installation. I made a correction and the change is dramatic. Use the BLACK harness connection and you will have difficulty keeping the car straight and on the road under a brake torque L-1 launch!
So did you put in the 180 Degree Thermostat or did you just or with what you had? I'm looking to mod my 2006 2.4 SS with removable parts so I don't void the warrenty. Oh and are both of you auto or just RED?

Just to make sure I wasn't "wanting" this Jet Chip Module to be worth the money, I took it out to see what the difference would be without it. It's worth it! I ran my car without my Jet Chip module just one trip -- the difference is even more noticable when you take it back out because you really notice the loss of low-end power. Try it...you'll like it!
My Lazer Blue Coupe is a SS with automatic. After I moved the Jet Module to the correct connector, it produces so much low end torque that it easily breaks traction on both wheels if I launch with traction control off. I went back and checked two different places where I launched from the right lane... both wheels broke loose (stock P6s) and the car drifted to the left across the left lane and nearly off the road at which point I let off. It also "barks 'em" on the 1-2 shift. In addition to the Jet GM stage 1 module, there's also a K&N SRI helping the low end. Still gets 22-24 MPG spirited driving into town and back to our rural subdivision.

Well this module would be the best idea then. I just got my car and it has been having some problems, so all my mods that I plan on doing are things that won;t void warranty yet. After another year or two I'll possibly take on a turbo charge kit. So either the Vector tune or the jet performance module is the way to go for you and I.
