Need a HPT LNF Config ASAP

I am going to look at a 2009 SS/TC that has a 25psi PANDA tune on it with the GMS1 sensors. Anyone have a config for the LNF so that I can log the car when I take it for a drive?

blueLNFftw 11-05-2014 02:55 PM

going at 5pm today

This is what I recently acquired. Not sure if it's most recent.

Looking for function parameters for wideband through a/c

Post #4. I got this config from a guy with an LNF and tweaked it.

09CobaltSS1 11-05-2014 07:51 PM

Why not just simply make one on the spot? They're easy enough to throw together on a whim if you know what you're looking for. Even if you do use someone else's config though, you won't be able to monitor any of the custom pids they might have in their setup without the correct equations. On my personal LNF config I have something like 4 or 5 custom pids that are absolutely essential to monitor, but you can't see them in the scanner without the proper equations to compute the values and making the custom pid.

southal cobalt 11-05-2014 11:38 PM

it really is more of a pain to try to use someone elses rather than build one. not only do custom pids not cross over, but i dont think tables do either. for instance, if you used mine, and your table was set up missing a few pids that mine has, those specific parameters wont show up in gauges, charts, and histos.

blueLNFftw 11-06-2014 09:44 AM

Because I literally only had 20 minutes.

I used the one in the dropbox of this post and it was missing intake and exhaust degrees and wideband. I still logged it and went over everything; it was really helpful still. I just watched wideband on the RPD. Car had zero knock in it, no codes were turned off, held 22.8 psi and had great LTFT and STFT for having a Hahn CAI on it. Cruising timing advance was in the mid 30s and WOT, high rpm advance was 19-21 degrees.

blueLNFftw 11-06-2014 09:46 AM

only pids that didn't work were the LTFT vs STFT and the wideband pids.

Car does pull a high STFT in the high rpm under WOT though, about 12%. Maybe needs to be dialed in better. Fuel rail pressure was nice and strong, 2200psi IIRC.

I can upload the log if anyone cares to take a look at it for me. I really do not know that much about LNF tuning yet.

yellowsupercharged06 11-06-2014 09:56 AM

do you still need a config file ? i have a good one

blueLNFftw 11-06-2014 10:01 AM

Yea, I will take it.
I like to both have them and blend them into my own.

user 72239 11-06-2014 10:06 AM

19 to 20 degrees at WOT? is this tuned on E85?

No.

I am going to get my laptop now, I will post some screen shots.

ECaulk 11-06-2014 10:30 AM

19-20 degrees is really high for pump, there a meth kit? Recall what the lambda was at WOT?

yeah thats very high for pump.

blueLNFftw 11-06-2014 11:32 AM

12.5 to 13.3
Holds more consistent at about 13

Same I have 4-5 custom PIDs that never translate once I email the damn config atleast I can always see them on my end.

18.5 advance seems to the be the max timing commanded under WOT. I only ever pulled to 6600rpm in second and third due to traffic and that was the peak timing.

18.5 advance seems to be the max timing on it. That was 6600 rpm is 2nd and third.

Is it on 93 or E-47?

Back it off. Way too much timing for just 93. That is about 3-4* past MBT timing on 93 and 25psi 14.5 to 15.5* max on 93. Pull the file and if you want send it to me. I bet he has it not pulling timing because it should be knocking on that much timing and boost and 93.

"Panda" worked on it a few times over the past 5,000 miles. Before that it had Trifecta for about 20k and stock GMS1 for about 20k.

Any harm done to it from the too much timing?
Also, it was not knocking at all. I would get 0.1-0.3kr but I was watching it and it was false knock from the construction on 417. Always as I hit a rut.

I am going to the bank today for the loan, I probably wont have the car until next week but I will definitely pull the tune and send it to you. I really appreciate you offering to look at it for me.

Marca blew his own car running too much timing I still have no idea why he tunes others cars.

i wonder if he was running meth and pulled everything off and never changed the tune because he planned to sell it. :nono:

blueLNFftw 11-06-2014 01:00 PM

He was running meth? Marca?

Because the current owner said that this tune came from his car and was milded out some.
Based on the time he said he spent on it the MAF is not dialed in well at all. He only worked on it three times.

Marca34 is the tuners screen name. Tune looks like a meth tune based on timing and the +20 STFT at wide open. The LTFT is not bad.

blueLNFftw 11-06-2014 01:02 PM

Here is the car in case anyone recognizes it and knows more about it.

Ouch, that screenshot sure looks ugly.

blueLNFftw 11-16-2014 12:36 AM

I was able to confirm that this tune was a copy and paste from a meth fed LNF.

09CobaltSS1 11-16-2014 12:46 AM

I'd say so.. lol

Aside from the trims and timing, I'm not crazy about the fact that the boost/torque tables are setup as such to allow the ecm to enter PE while at only 59% pedal position yet the actual tb position is 100%. The cam tables are a little jacked up looking as well.

blueLNFftw 11-16-2014 12:56 AM

The joys of buying a car tuned by a "tuner" that is pretty clueless on what is safe.

I drove the car home and to work a couple days but it's mostly been sitting while I drive my Cruze RS.
The new LNF needs vacuum bled, a control arm, and, obvi, a tune lol.

Term, I am going to pull the tune file and email it to you today.
I was going to wait a bit, but with the things being said and me thinking about my buddy's blown up LSJ from "waiting" I need to just do it.

Alright

09CobaltSS1 11-16-2014 09:56 AM

Just tell him to throw a meth kit on there and call it a day! No further tuning needed!:lol::lol::lol:

 I have a feeling there will be a lot of changes coming.

blueLNFftw 11-16-2014 11:23 AM

All of the parameters untuned!!!!!

It is pulling the file now. Taking a while. 25 minutes? I vaguely recall my LSJ taking <10.

blueLNFftw 11-16-2014 11:49 AM

File sent

09CobaltSS1 11-16-2014 12:09 PM

Yeah bosch controllers take a while to read. Even my duramax, which uses a bosch controller, takes roughly 20 minutes to full read. Good ol' delphi controllers take like 5-8 minutes max usually. Stupid ass bosch!
