So i am trying to get the tune off my car right now, and i keep getting the error "Unable to connect to VCM. Verify cable is connected and key is in Run position."

I have the cables all plugged into the car and my computer and the key in the run position. This is the second computer the CD has been installed on, and the original little box in between the OBDII and computer. My car shows the license has been purchased for it because I have used the other laptop to tune on the car before. Any suggestions?
