New to HP tuners

I'm getting My car tuned w/ hp tuners soon. I know I can do some cool stuff with it, like keep my after cooler pump working 100% and turn my fans on early. ANd take away the no cat codes.

But am I going to just be able to tell them thats what I want?

The guy is new to HP tuners.

Basicaly I am asking are features like that easy to access??

Hopefully he's not new to tuning.

He shouldn't have too much trouble finding anything, but it all depends on what kind of software he has experience in. If he's only used to piggybacks such as emanage or perfect power he might have a little trouble. If hes done any prior gm eprom editting he should be fine.

His name is Fred from SMG Motorsports. He is a sight sponsor. Defiantly not new to tuning, His shop runs 2 cavaliers almost every week on the strip.

But I'm going to be one of his first cobalts. I would just like to see what I can do to make it easier for him to give me what I want.

the program is pretty strait forward...if he runs into any issues our 4 cyl forum usually can help as well as this forum. Theres usually someone who's seen or done everything your wanting to do.

This will be easy.

To turn the Aftercooler pump on: Go to ENGINE>TORQUEMANAGEMENT>SUPERCHARGER>And under the After/Intercooler change MIN RUN TIME from 10 to 0.

The Increase the fan speeds: FANS>VS.ECT> Select all cells, and I add 55 to all. Then go to OUTPUTCONTROL VS. STATE (I think, it should be a serial table of 1's and 0's, not the %table) and Change the top row to all 1's, and the 2nd row make them all ones except the one on the far left. That will make the fans run a lot faster, and keep the car at a constant 179-181* after warmup.

To Turn the CAT lights off: ENGINE DIAG.>DTC's> uncheck P0420. If you removed your O2 sensors like some people (not recommended) then you will need to shut off the heater codes for those as well. They are grouped together around P0134 area I think.
