Talking New tune or is this normal??

I have the intense stage 5 reflash as of now, But the car constanly pulls boost and misfires.Ive changed plug gap every with way and the only gap that the car likes with little detonation is .42-- Run codes, Same thing every time. Constantly getting bank one o2. Even replaced the thing and still gettin it. Im not saying my tune is bad, But I personally think it something isnt right. I dunno?? Seems as if the timing is too far advanced. I can tell a big difference when get gas at different places. 93 is what I run always. When I ran 110 at the track, it ran perfect. No missing or detonation or boost pull. You figure?
any advice would be apprciated. pretty typical setup.
2.6 pulley
cai
2.5 catless dp
2.5 magnaflow exahust
60#ers
ported and polished blower
clutchmasters stage3 clutch
fidanza wheel
autolite 3922 at .42

If you want to keep your motor. Put a bigger pulley on it. Regap new plugs to 35 Not autolites. The go get it tuned.

What do your IAT2 temps look like? If you don't have any cooling mods they must be way up there which would explain why the car is pulling boost and causing detonation. It also would explain why it runs ok with 110 octane gas which is helping prevent the detonation. I would get some serious cooling mods and get a real tune, go to a smaller pulley and get a tune, or else I wouldn't get on the gas at all or you will end up blowing the motor.

No, the intense tune is a good for your everday driving, but when it comes down to it its really dangerous......Try using a 2.7 pulley, NGK plugs gapped at 35. I also noticed your blower is ported? You made a big mistake by not going and getting tuned with that setup, the reflash isnt setup to work with a ported blower. The tune is good if used with the right parts to make it safe, a 2.7/ngks/some sort of cooling mod. If your iat temps are high, then that will mess with your timing. Also i have heard horror stories of what happens in winter with the intense tune and a 2.6, way too cold of temps = way to much boost and not correctly tuned for the weather = BOOM!!!!!

I forgot to list that I DO HAVE the dual pass setup and a LARGE FMIC by a guy in New York "IRC FABRICATION". REALLY NICE PIECE! If you want pics I can send them. Fits front bumper perfect with the brackets I fabbed. I also have a 2.7 pulley and it did fine with it. I just wanted a little bit more power, thats all. power increased some. Where would a good place to get your car tuned?? Any suggestions? Im in wva in BFE. So mail order tunes are my only option or a long drive somewhere. I would let someone who had similar setup tune it if it was a good tune. Maybe a 2.7 with a 50 shot?? Any advice would be appriciated again. Thanks

the 0.42 gap is whats causing your misfires.

and the fact that less than that causes detonation shows that the tune is not good for your setup/conditions.

with the mods your running your gap should probably be somewhere around 0.33-0.37

I would strongly consider getting retuned.
I dont bash vendors....but do a search....youll see for yourself

You should be safe with the 2.7 and some new NGK's gapped at .35 but for winter get a 2.8 to be really safe, and you should be totally fine!

Well you are probably just creating too much heat with the 2.6 for the IC to keep cool, even with the dual pass and FMIC. If you really want to runt he 2.6 I would just get a good tune and see what you can do to keep the car from blowing up. If you have to just go back to the 2.7... better safe then sorry...

I agree that it is likely heat related. Since it runs well on 110 but not on 93, you may want to pull some timing. I am not a timing guru (fuel is my gig right now), but I seem to recall that more boost requires a drop in timing. Meth might help too. Just a thought.

If your sensor code is a P2A00, you may have O2 ready disabled. That seems to be the only way to eliminate STFTs. I get this code a lot when tuning in OL.

Intense Tunes Suck. I got to look at one of their tunes, and they are absolutely horrible! Do yourself a favor and get someone that has an idea of what they are doing to tune your car.
