if you clear the code, does it come right back?
does the code come on while you're idling? driving? wot run? etc...
Andrew,
I got the code after driving around the first 3 times (intake installed when it was on stands). I cleared it and it came back. Not real wot runs, just normal driving, although it did go away but was still in the pcm.

A code P0171 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

* The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters (K&N, etc.) can cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled
* There could be a vacuum leak downstream of the MAF sensor.
K. I had code 101 or 103 before when i forgot to plug in the MAF sensor and started it up. Now, i have the P0171 code, although it has gone away with putting the maf fail up to 12500. BUT, ill take it out and check it this weekend. Also, ill reflash my pcm to stock Maf fail to see what happens.

Keep you informed on what happens.

So raising your Maf did get rid of your code? You don't have any codes now?

Thats right matty. But i'm going to flash it back to completely stock (no raised maf) and see what happens or comes up tomorrow on the wayto/from work.

basically ur map/maf is off somewhere and it is causing the car to fuel trim over +20% at some point which is what activates the code..A good scan tool can pull the exact point that is happened at and what the other parameters were at when it was activated via obd2 snapshot, From there u can adust your maf/map and get it back in line. I recommend sd tuning with a Wideband to get rid of the problem

Its been anywhere from 7-11*C the past 2 weeks. mm.. 42-55*F i think. I thought it may have thrown the code b/c of the intake (more air). But again... no codes and i did a couple of 200km/hr pulls on the way to work today
