PAGING: WITT, come inside
Hey man, sent you a PM a few weeks ago but don't know if you got it or not. I was given your name by a few people as a great tuner, and was told you could hook me up with a sweet tune for my GTO. Send me a PM man!
Thanks,
Brian Lewis
Thanks,

Heh, really don't check PMs on this site (I get some really goofy ones more than daily). I put a couple LS2 tunes on both manuals and autos but one GTO owner said he was able to refine it even further while on the track (mainly auto tranny stuff iirc). Post your email and I'll send you what I put on his car (A4 or M6 version) and I'll see if I can get him to post his most recent tune if he's willing.

lol
LOL, I've replied to your PMs you bum!
BTW, I have an updated tune for 272 cammed cobalt people, I sent you and dan a list of changes I made.
speedfreak81 - I'm lifting the tune from a friend of mine as we speak. He revised the stock tune past what I did with great results. It is an auto tune, I'll see if I can apply the changes to an M6 and shoot it to ya ASAP.

If everyone is going to pick Witt's brain, I might as well too.
Quick question for ya since I know you've had your valvetrain in pieces a few times over the last year. Are you aware how many times GM has redesigned the tensioner? Reason being, when my engine was reassembled, we used the updated tensioner (I believe the wider one w/o the o-ring), but I'm around 90% certain that it's going on me again. Rattle at idle and tip-in throttle, but you can't hear it while cruising. I took the valve cover off and there was enough slack in the timing chain to tap it on the bottom of the upper guide. To me, that's gotta be the tensioner. I'm thinking about trying to bring it in to get that replaced under warranty, given it seems to be a GM design flaw, not my actual modifications. Any thoughts?
Sorry to thread jack...
I'd entertain any of your thoughts also.

whats sad is. i took my car in for this problem. the techs said they couldn't find the problem. my car is right at 30k miles. i bought it 4500 on it. it has done this since day one when i picked it up.
this is added to the list of stuff that gm is going to fix on mine. if you let the car warm up for a while it does not do it. it's only when you start driving it when it hasn't had time to warm up past 140 that it does it.
whats sad is, i know how to reproduce it everytime now.
