Question abou timing advance ...
Hi,
When you guys said that (for example) you can run 19 or 23 degrees of max timing advance without knock, does it include the numbers in that picture :

I assume it is IAT2 right ?

i have mine zeroed from above 58 degree's to 196
i believe it is iat2
my car will never see anything above 145 degree's after the blower anyways.
back to the question at hand. when i do timing, i figure all the adders and multiplyers into the total advance. why? weather changes, temperature changes, your mood changes. having the car run a static number 24/7 won't be the best thing to do because the weather isn't always going to be in your favor when you pick on the civic.

agreed
i would leave all the modifiers alone, they are there to let your car adjust for conditions.
if you want to work a little more timing in sure, but dont disable the cars ability to add or pull timing when it needs to
