removed rear O2 car goen into open loop randomly.

some background info, 9.5 diamond, turbo, hahn man, and maf only.

removed rear O2 sensor which was already turned off, and car goes into open loop randomly and will stay there for 20-40 sec, running at 12.5 afr while idling or cruising, blipping the throttle doesent help, going wot doesent help as it returns after wot

i have tried plugging the sensor in and leaving it to free air and it doesent stay in open loop for as long when it randomly enters.

i have no cat, and the sensor was just in there before and turned off. and now the sensor is unplugged.

ps. my exhaust has changed and i can no longer just "put it back in" but i will go get a bung put in if i need to and cant get an answer on here.

im seriously thinking about buying a 06 pcm... i have so many weird random things that no one with 06 has... and there were changes to the tune and pcm for 07. i dont know exactly what they were in order to know if my problems relate to the changes or not.

only thing that sucks is i dont have 06 unlocked yet so i would have to buy the pcm plus credits :

that's an issue with the 07's didn't realize you had one (guess I should read lol).
It's some table we can't access with hpt yet.

07's have a different os than the others.

set your cot temps back to stock. this helps, but does not get rid of the issue 100% good luck on trying to get a fix for it. i haven't gotten one.

2006 wouldn't even work with a 2007 car, right?

leave them zeroed out. even dicking with the ivt table doesn't do anything to help this. three entirely different fuel maps do not help this.

2 on the 60's, and one with 79's, then a light change on the 79's.

since you mentioned this issue with the 02 sensor when you pulled it, i may weld another bung in my dp and stick it back in and see what happens. my rear 02 is coiled and zip tied up under the brake booster. has been for over 30k miles.

so 06's either don't have this issue, or it can be fixed?

yep, thats were mine is now... lol

yeah this is def related to what i just changed on my exhaust, im going to put it back in the dp as this seems to be the prob.

maybe we just found the fix to a known problem on 07's? well none the less thanks for your input area47. hope you have success and it goes away.

i just have to get bored enough, or find lift space at work to get it done. i have lived with it this long and have been fighting it for 30k miles. it isn't going to hurt me to live with it some more. it is good to see someone else who can finally bring this issue to light besides myself fighting it.
