How about just general knowledge. The 42lbers with the 2.8 is going to have maxed out idc's. The 60lbers and the 2.8 won't have over roughly 70% idc's if tuned properly and depending on the rpm's of course.
You are right on the 42's. But now that I'm running 60's my max IDC is 28% at WOT. At idle it is less than 0%. At idle my timing jumps everywhere. I have had several people look at the tune and they see nothing wrong. I'm being told that the 60's are to big for my setup.
I ran a 2.8 on the 42s for about 6 months or so. No problems. Pulse widths were just fine.
You should never pay attention to the IDCS.. as the math does not add up right for our engines for them to be of any meaning.
forget your IDC. what are your pulsewidths?
I've tuned cars with 2.8" and 42s that were not over extending the injectors. I've also tuned cars with 3.0" pulleys and 42s and had the injectors going completely static above 6000 rpms. It varies.
