SD all the time???

hey i was tunng my car in SD for my "race tune" and i was wondering, could i leave the car in SD all the time??? is there anydownfall to not having the MAF working?? I kinda like the idea of doing some runs then just adjusting the VE table according to my AFR % Error histogram and not worrying about my MAF. does anyone run their car in SD all the time??

SD is fine to stay in. My car has been in SD since I had HPTuners like last spring. No problems, even in the winter. Infact I went to put it back to using the MAF sensor for the winter, and it had a hard time starting in the cold. But in SD starts fine.

If you run more than 215kpa manifold pressure you run out of resolution on the SD table, so you either have to tune for 215kpa (16-17psi) or tune for your highest pressure, either way it will be off one way or another. MAF is extremely easy to tune and more acceptable to VE changes as far as mods go.
