Stage 3 PCM?!?!

Ok I've asked before in other threads, but got no answer. IS THE STAGE 3 PCM TUNABLE!?!? I need something to switch between high octane mod and low octane mode, but I don't want to waste my money on the PCM if I can't tune it!

Good question so here is a free bump.

I'm curious too. I want to know if you can get in there and enable the A/C.

I have a feeling this is going to become the stage 3 Q&A thread.

well if you the user can adjust the rev limit with the push of the throttle then im assuming that it can be tuned just as easily as the normal pcm just that this newer one is an updated version with more abilities

I think they locked it and thats one of the reasones for giving you a whole new PCM.

Very true. So nobody knows for sure yet hah? I guess we'll have to wait for some people to actualy install it.

I'm getting this PCM regardless. How many PCMs come from the factory ready for nitrous and 100 octane gas.

It's by far one of the sickest PCMs to come from the factory.
It's perfect for the guys with 2.9" pulleys.

Mopar stage 3 has an octane mode switch.

Maybe Keith at HPTuners will find a way to get into it for us. Just as him.

I will... gonna make a thread on the hp forums,,..

Pcm is pretty cool, cept for the fact I"m running 60's and 2.55 pulley on the thing... pulls nice and adjustable rev limit is pretty damn cool... only prob is my AFR is less than 10.0:1 the second I get past 50% throttle... tomorrow I might throw in some race gas and test out HOM. and see how that feels... but finally my car idles correctly (somehow) and it was my other PCM was fried from too many reflashes I guess... >100 times

Less than 10.0:1? Eeek. Can you imagine the difference if you could get it to 12.0:1.

yeah thats why I hope I can tune the damn thing....

Well I know how it pulls I was running a 2.55 pulley and every other bolt on made for the car for quite some time... just my stock PCM got fubared and the car wouldn't hold idle when i would come to stop... this is with either stock injectors and flash, gm stg II flash and 42s and anything inbtwn... so I after changing all the gaskets on my car thinking it was vaccuum leak related... I changed the PCM and wala... runs fine now... even with the 60s' off idle bogs pretty bad but after that its ok

Any word on when the stage3 PCM will be unlocked?

What is the potential compared to the "stock" PCM.

Very interesting. I hope HP Tuners will unlock it. It would be awesome to swap octane maps and adjust the rev limiter without hooking up a computer.

would it be possible to scan all the data from the Stage 3 tune it and keep the rev adjustment and HOM and load it onto a reg pcm?

Yes you can tune stage 3 and switch from high octane to low octane mode. It tells you that at www.crateenginedepot.com

ummm thats not tuning my friend.. that's user selective.. a bit different...

I mean like change Injector sizes i.e. 60 lbers... change timing maps... VE tuning that sorta thing...
it does disable the A/C,,, but since I don't have a/c anymore... doesn't really matter.

but one thing I did notice.. I don't have my second o2 sensor in right now... no CEL... so going catless...
but it looks like the turbo project with RIPP is going to happen.. so Ill keep ya guys posted
