know what when it is unlocked try and see if you can re-enable the a/c that would be a plus all by itself. that way once the car is out of warrenty you never have to go back.

it does disable the A/C,,, but since I don't have a/c anymore... doesn't really matter.

but one thing I did notice.. I don't have my second o2 sensor in right now... no CEL... so going catless...
but it looks like the turbo project with RIPP is going to happen.. so Ill keep ya guys posted
RIPP has an amazing 60 trim SRT-4.. 520whp lol... i emailed intense and asked them if it was possible to scan the Stage 3 PCM and tune that and keep the rev adjustment and HOM and they said they probably could but don't have a Stage 3 PCM yet.. but if that is possible and you can buy the PCM from intense with the new benefits of the Stage 3 PCM with a custom tune that would be awesome and probably would take a hit on GM's sale of the Stage 3 PCM

Thats really Rich right? are you getting a Rich CEL ?

nope no CEL's I think stg III disables the emissions dtc's since I have no second 02 sensor and drove for 4 days so far with no CEL.

It's a completely different PCM... does not work with hp tuners... you can scan.. but can't read or write to it. It does work with the aeroforce, I know cause I had one.

is anything required when ""swapping the PCM's""

what is a "case re-learn", have heard the term and was under the influence that is required to swap the PCM's?

I didn't need to do a case relearn on mine just plugged and went.. just make sure you disconnect your battery before starting to disconnect the PCM... don't want to fry it

So there is nothing to do but just hook it up and that's it? I know u installed yours but is there any truth to this besides your car still running so far. Why did they make such a big deal about the stage 2 pcm doing the CASE relaern or the intense kits if these pcm's don't know the crank position

The stage 3 pcm is plug and play. It honestly takes about 10 minutes to change the pcm's out. Thats with unhooking the battery and hooking it back up again.

cause with the intense PCM's if you didn't send yours in to be tuned.. you basically got someone elses that wasn't in your car before.. thats why you'd have to do the CASE relearn.. but the stg III PCM from GM.. is well a GM part and designed to be plug & play.
and I"ve swapped PCM about 3 times in one weekend and never had to do the case relearn.

Look in the "Tuning" section. There is a sticky with a list and a Frapper Map of members with HP Tuners. The Frapper Map has more people than the list since Jim is no longer on the site.

Do have to give a vin number when buying the stage 3? The reason I ask is that it is said to void your warranty. If you don't have to provide a vin then I don't know why they say it will void you warranty because you could just take the computer out and put the stock computer back in for warranty visits.

yeah I just had to give them the year of the car. The PCM shows an unknown VIN# like YYYYYYYYYYYY.
