Question Stock injectors + tune, info please

I'm installing my intake, header, and exhaust and I was wondering if there is enough room in the stock injectors to tune for these mods.

On one hand, people say "stock IDC is %(insert some high number here)" and on the other hand people say "You don't need injectors unless you're running a smaller pulley".

Let's sort it out. I plan on riding like this for at least 3 months before I move on to pulleys and such so I'd like it to be doing the right thing for that amount of time.

Thanks.

You can tune for those things, I'd recommend keeping the redline at 6500 just so your not letting the duty cycle get too high, stock at 7000rpm I was seeing like 137%

Its my opinion that the car should have come from the factory with 42s on it, the stock injectors are grossely undersized for the application

Thanks man. I didn't want to waste a dyno trip just to find out I was maxed out.

Thanks man. It was one of your posts where I saw that crazy high IDC on stock injectors. I'll check out the link.

Biggity bump for clarification. I see where the opinion is that there is enough room to tune in the stock injectors. But in theory, the GM Stage 1 kit is nothing but 42lb injectors and a tune. So I guess I'm just wondering if there is room in the stock injectors for a tune for intake header and exhaust, why 42lb injectors for a stage 1?

They did 42lb injectors for stage 1 because its clear that the stock injectors couldn't do the job well enough
