Super or Turbo?

I need opinions.

Which is better even though it is all based on opinions. Which would be cheaper?
Which one is harder.

Which is the safest route?
Would I need a new exhaust for both to not restrict airflow?

Please tell me everything about these lol.

By the way my car is automatic not manual.

Depends on what you want and your plans for the car. i personally like SC but thats me and they are about the same in price people n the site sell both for around 1200-1500

I said do some research, not ask for the answers to be given to you lol. Seriously use the search button up top and do some reading. Once you know both platforms extremely well you can make your decision.

Quick information.

Superchargers are belt driven and turbos are exhaust driven. Turbo's have spool time, superchargers are instant. Both outside of boost give great gas mileage. IMO a turbo setup will be harder to install then a s/c setup. Generally turbo setups cost more, but they will be around the same price for your car. Tuning is easier on a s/c setup then the turbo setup IMO. I would get exhaust with either setup. Also the turbo route is probably less strain on the car over all, but it depends on how far you push each setup.

Turbo is harder to install imo, the s/c is harder on the motor if hp is equal in both applications, but the turbo setup has more potential to screw up your motor, aka higher hp settings, more boost, etc.

i agree with zach turbo sucks to install cuz the header is in the back and yes sc would strain the motor more if the applications were equal in power... turbo has more potential but either way if you plan on over 250whp u need to do a rebuild...

Why search when friendly members dont mind answering the same questions?

Well if I did an SC build I probally wouldnt go over 250 because I dont want to have to mess with my internals.

Which is better for a daily driver? If I do a super charger or turbo how will I know if everything is there like gaskets and what not and is there a lot of tubing I would need or not?

Can someone move this to forced induction. Could have sworn thats where I added it.

why search? because it keeps the forums down in size from being bunched up with the same question over and over again and takes less time to search and find your answer then it does to write up a new thread about the same beaten horse question.
