Tuning LSJ with this Combo?

Hi all,
I desperately need to start tuning my LSJ.

I've got a vibrant header/dp combo in the works, I'm of course getting a HP Tuners, the last part is what do I need to read a/f, etc.?

I was going to get an Aeroforce interceptor, but then I worried that I'll need additional gauges for tuning, or is this it?

Is there a common name for the type of guages I need for tuning?

Yes, super newb. I searched the forums, but found many different gauges, but I'm not certain what's best.

Thanks!

You need an afr gauge. I suggest going with an actual tuner and letting them tune your car instead of attempting it yourself

AFR gauge = wideband gauge. Most common one used is the AEM one. You can get an "add-on" for the aeroforce gauge.

Ahh ok, thank you. So really, all I need is the AFR period?

Thanks

Eghhhhhh.... Some will say yes, some will say no.

"NEED", you don't "NEED" either..... but a wideband is highly recommended for tuning, and being able to watch your afr while driving and after being tuned. An interceptor is important because you can monitor things (iat2, knock, stft/ltft) after being tuned.

So it's really up to you... You can get a wideband, get tuned, and then a little later get an interceptor. People will get tuned and never get an interceptor. But you gotta keep a close eye on things and make sure everything is functioning properly (kind of hard to do for the average joe with a scan tool/scan gauge)

Great advice, aerforce w/ wide band add-on it is. I am very interested in IAT2 as well.

Thank you
