Tuning question(95 Chevy blazer)
I have a 95 blazer I want to get tuned not for performance mainly just tuning out unnecessary stuff like emissions and whatnot. Being a 95 I was wondering if it was obd 1 or 2. I was told it was obd 1 but my obd 2 code reader plugs in and reads the codes. So my question is how do I tell? I did some searching but it seems like 95 Ish was when the transition started. Thanks for any help.

95 was the transition year from obd1 to obd2 so gm had a genious system commonly refered to as "obd 1.5". It's basically an obd1 system with an obd2 connector style BUT you can use an obd2 scan tool to pull the codes instead of the standard obd1 koeo and koer code retrieval system. As far as tuning goes, that I'm not 100% on but I would imagine that it's a "chipped" pcm that isn't rewritable and will need a new chipset configured and burned. I don't believe it's an eprom style system although again I'm not 100% sure.
