Tuning questions
ok so after my unimpressive dyno run the other day iv decided to really start looking into the tune on my car and putting my hpt program to good use
im running a ported m62 2.8 and 60s vibrant header/dp and the hahn catback
it was installed and tuned by kenny at cobalt addiction and i asked for a very conservative tune bc i dont have any cooling mods and this car is my DD
but even on a safe tune 225 whp on a 2.8 is just not good enough
so i started small i took off the torque management off i leaned out at afr 10.5 to 11.3 and i added a few degrees of timeing uptop
my 1st impression is that what i did was definitally an improvment the car does seem to pull harder now but i think the tune need alot of work. my afr is set to 11.3 but under wot it will slowly climb to about 11.8 at redline which to my understanding is still safe. what is causing it to climb like that tho should i richen it up uptop to compensate or is there something else wrong iv heard that the maf and fuel trim calibrations play a big roll in this also i set it to 20degrees of timing but im only seeing 18 under wot and is seems to be pulling timeing as my iat2s rise its down to 16.5 at the top of 3rd but there is no knock being picked up
if someone can explain to me how to post my tune and wants to look at it please tell me bc id like get my tune fixed and learn a little bit to

try going to hptuners or another forum and searching MAF and VE tuning. once you get your trims in line, you will get what you commanded. also dont keep your PE so flat, unless your tuning for trims then set it back.
20 degrees seems like alot of timing with no meth, and especially with no cooling mods. i would make sure your not getting any knock. most likely everytime you go WOT your IAT spark modifer is taking timing out and you never run 20 degrees anyway.
also your settings for your 60lb injectors seem a little weird. ive only tune about 3 cars with 60lbers, but the flow rate seems either flat or just wrong. so i might be wrong, but it might not be a bad idea to do a search on here for, tuning 60lb injectors, theres a how to. and maybe go over some of the things.

well you have gm stage 2 spark advance (which is fine because you don't have any cooling mods (yet), but your going to need more than a h/e, you probably heat soak like a mother..) Maf Calibration is stock, you can mess with this for the win.. Your IAT boost is 90%, and that is cool, but your power is going down the ******* because you have no cooling mods.
I would suggest along with the h/e ; meth or dual pass and option b.

thanks guys im slowly learning this whole thing iv logged it on both my intercepter and hpt and its not reading any knock. i know im heat soaking alot i was logging it last night and timing would start out at 19 and drop down to 16 by the end of 3rd with the iat2s in the 140s, the only things i changed on the tune was the PE table bc i was running way rich 10.5 afr and i added a little bit of timeing in the bottom right corner of the map everything else is stil the same as it was when i got tuned by cobalt addiction(1st mistake lol)
my car usually does pretty well even with no cooling its just been so frigging hot here the past month when the temps are in like the 60s i will only see 130 degree iat2s after a pull from 2nd to 4th
but i know to get full power im gonna need more cooling
