im in southwest va and im thinking about buying a 09 cobalt ss and it has a hp tune on it and the car is about 9 hours away and he said it needs to be retuned to my climate and sea level he still has the tuner and i was hoping somebody can give me some information around this are to tune it to. So it wont throw codes or anything thanks

 

when you get it rescale the MAF via the hptuenrs scanner and flash it with the vcm editor. thats all i would really do. is he giving you the hptuner cable with it?

no i just got him to tune it back to stock i will prob get a tune later, will it throw codes where it has hahn cold air intake and injen charge pipe and hahn downpipe catless and im probably going to put a muffler on it , it is muffler delete right now love the sound of it but dont want a ticket

 

Ehh theoretically it should throw a code because fuel trims will be off. But I have seen some that dont throw codes its weird. Id get it tuned as soon as possible. It might try to go into limp mode

 

what part make it go in limp mode?

 

If the maf is off by so much it will go into limp mode
