I got my 2006 Black Cobalt SS with the performance package a couple weeks ago. I was drivng home from work when I pulled up to a 05 Mustang GT. I know that I have no chance but i don't care. They rev there engine wanting to race. So I figure why not. So I turrned the a/c off (I need all that I could get). When it turned green we took off and susprisenly I was pulling from her. I forgot to tell you that the driver was a girl. I'll take it. The Cobalt is an awesome car and makes driving fun.

The 06 is the exact same except for a GM badge on the sides. Ever thing else is the same

Sorry to go off topic, but are you talking about the SS/SC? If so. how the hell are you already in one? They just started to build them this week for delivery within 4 weeks to dealers. If you got the car I'm talking about then congrats!!! I just want to know why I have to wait another 5 weeks for mine...oh I think I know...it's probably because I live in Canada (a whole 450 miles from Detroit).

 

Let me tell u its not that impossible. My friend has an 05 GT and he ran a 14.8 at the track. He is not a good driver. But it really it possible. It will never be possible for a 100hp honda or ford focus to take on a mustang gt even with the worst driver. But with the cobalts SS. asa you dont race a 500hp car you might always have a chance.

 

lets see some pics of this 06' , not to be skeptical but I dont think its very easy to get your hands on one right now, also do you have any options like onstar and XM beucase I thought they were going to try to combine those antennas

I got mine so early becasue I work for a guy who own the dealership and he pulled a favor for me. I got the first one in Metro Detroit. I am thinking it is a preproduction model where they just stared the 06 lines and they doing slow build. Every part on it has a part number sticker on it. As for the pictures i would but I don't know how to put them on and any ways it looks just like the 05.
