what is 100g+k? like 100,000miles.. I know my motor will last a while.. but I'm saying those Hemi's don't have high reliability ratings. Maybe they do, i'm not sure.. a couple people i know work at Chrysler dealerships and tell me they aren't what they thought they were now that people are putting mileage on these cars..

******' Hemi.. lol.. i don't give a **** if its faster than me in reverse.. its interior is still made out of the same plastic my garbage bin is.. haha..
You said no SRT-8 comes with AWD and they all are capable of mid-high 12s bone stock.

If you don't know then why assume?

I don't think you have ever been in SRT-8.

This story looks very well full of BS.

My friend Brett's (600WHP S/C Mustang) mom drives a 300C. He drove it while we were building up his GT last year. I raced him in my SS/SC Stage 2 a few times from a dig and roll.

I won all of the races except one from a dig because I spun like a bitch. But I will say it was much closer than I was thinking it would be. From a dig it was close in the 1/8 but then I would pull. From a roll (from 40mph) it was close for a few seconds then I would pull hard.

I also raced a Charger SRT-8 at our last cruise night and got raped from a dig and roll.

Some of these posts are becoming hard to beleive anymore. The food chain around here is greatly distorted.
If u dont want to believe me fine...IMO i just think its hard for u to believe that there is a cobalt on here faster then you and beat a car that u couldnt. besides you may not be as good as a driver as me...no offense. but a 6.0 gto is in the same class for times as the srt-8.

Well I doubt that, I ran a 13.7 @ 104mph with just Stage 2 otherwise stock in my SS/SC.

And yes a SRT-8 can give a GTO a run for it's money in the 1/4 but from a roll it's all GTO. Thats also why say your full of ****.

Its a DUB car. A car to put big rims on, IMO, though its fast.

I'd take the SS/SC over it any day of the week.
hehe i always call 300C's 'ghetto Bentleys'

With those mods it would have been a great race from 80 even from 40 srt-8's run a 13.4 with 425 hp but they weigh a ton there fast none the less but **** there are people on this site running 13.9 with an intake and stage 2 drop in a header downpipe exhaust a smaller pulley and from a roll wow that would make it one hell of a race some people need to stfu end rant

I had a SS/SC up until November of 2006. And you know if the stories here weren't so damn rediculious no one would be " hatin " fellas.

Like I stated before the food chain on here is all messed up. Intaked and Stage 2 + 2.80 SS/SC's went from Mustang GT match to LS1 killers overnight.

I love how some of you think the weight of the SRT-8 would affect a race from 80mph.

weight will play an issue regarudless, its just not as much of a factor when at higher speed then when from a dig.

your forgetting to add the HEADER CAT LESS DP AND CORSA EXHAUST that will make it a very good contender , i smoke 99-04 gt's and i have an airbox mod , gm stage 2 , zzp header and 3 in dp w hi flow cat the header and cat make all the difference bc before i would be dead even with them

Ok first this thread is old as hell.

Second a cobalt ss/sc with stg 2 is not coming close to an srt-8 , jesus some of you guys need to wake the **** up. You will still be left by 2 car lengths.

Third a GTO and an SRT-8 is a really good race. They both weigh near the same and have similar specs.

But seriously guys you are not beating an srt-8

dude you must find the worst drivers ever. The c5 z06 can run a high 12 stock. This i have personally seen at the track.

it was some younger kid...probably in his dads car...but still none the less even with a bad or decent driver you can still pull a mid to low 13. which i have also seen at the track.

the c5 zo6 part those cars are way fast your car is about as fast as decently modded mach 1 (xpipe intake exhaust) and a decently modded mach 1 wouldnt come anywhere near a cobra and a cobra would probably get spanked by a zo6 corvette it could be a drivers race anyways you see what im saying ??

the 99-04 cobras are low 13 high 12 cars...so theyre in the same range as a c5 z06. but your right its all in the driver

not really, the terminators (03-04 cobras) could run pretty much even with a c5 z06....now with a c6 z06 they will get spanked, but a terminator is a mid-high 12 second car, and will mod better than a c5 too.

nahh he was right on page 4, this IS an old thread...

zzzz...

i could see it happening. prime 3 gear pull...it makes a difference. it's not like he kept pulling on him...**** a 2 car length could be the srt's fault for not flooring it right away...who knows.

nice job despite!
