If you really don't understand engine design enough to know that an engine designed around F/I and an engine designed around V-tec are different then you don't need to post, or be a moderator. You're being a fanboi at this point. I'm dissapointed. I'm the first one to defend a well designed car and drive train, but to say that an LSJ needs F/I to beat a Civic Si is completely stupid. No mother F*$* kidding. What's next, saying that a Z28 needs 8 cylinders to meet is' 1/4 et's?

 

wow, went over your head again. fanboi because i drive a honda? guess my two other gm vehicles i have make me a fanboi too. obviously phxss and i were going back and foth. he said, that honda needs to make a $90k vehicle to beat a cobalt ss/sc so that makes honda lame. my reply to him was "just like chevy needing to put a s/c in their 4cyl to beat honda's N/A 4cyl." now to make myself clear. It's not lame that they put a supercharger on it to beat Honda's N/A 4cyl. At the end of the day stock for stock the Chevy is faster. That would be like me saying that it's lame that Mustangs need a V8 to beat my car. And if they need a $90k car to beat a $21k car that is lame. Also the number of GM vehicles in your driveway is totally irrellevant to Honda fanboism. You can own GM cars and still be a Honda Fanboi. At the point I logged on last night I was so drunk I could barely read what was said, I just saw this from you.
That screamed Fanboi to me. Honda makes a good product, you'll never hear me say otherwise. However you also won't hear me saying that if a car needs F/I to beat a Honda it's lame. No hard feelings dude, I just saw that and in a drunken haze felt that it was fanboism.

so what's your point again phxss? I understand the part where you think NSX cars are lame..but what about Honda in general? Or other cars in general? I feel I could do some research on other car manufacturers for you and find out how many of those are lame as well.

I think Honda had/has different priorities and purposes for the NSX, S2000, and Civic when comparing to GM's priorities and purpose for the SS/SC. That might explain the crazy difference in preference and performance between the two manufacturers.

 

don't waste your time man. fanboi's will never learn. to him speed means everything. it doesn't matter if your car will own a z06 in the twisties, it's still lame because the z06 will win in a straight line. it's cool if you only want a car for straight lines but to talk **** about other cars that aren't as quick in a straight line but are obviously a much better car than a cobalt is assenine. it's a lame way to think, i know. i personally love the z06 and will be the only chevy car i will consider buying. i am now closing this thread because it's way off topic now.
