06 SS/Sc vs Tabby
06 SS/Sc vs Tabby
It was a nice sunny day...just got done driving the twisties (1000ft drop in 2 miles) and approaching home. One mile to go, and what do I see coming fast from my left? A beast wanting to race my SS! I couldnt believe it, so close to home and this thing wants to race. I can sense it is going to end poorly for this sad creature, so, I hit the brakes and start to downshift for the pending race event. Then BAMMM!!! this graceful would be racer is nailed. By what you say? The front plate, and lower portion of the SS intercooler, rad and A/C condenser. Now, one would think a cat would have more sense than to try to out run a car as stealth like as an SS, but this cat did not. So he decided to hitch a ride in my front grill for a few hundred feet before taking the exit below the rad support...bouncing under the SS a few times and banging his head on the header and downpipe before exiting on the pavement behind. Again, one would think, a car as invincible as the SS would have destroyed that cat @ a mere 40MPH..but noooooooooooooooooooooooo. The cat continued his run across the street leaving the SS and driver in a state of shock. So, I have been regulated on down to a rental Grand Prix until the $3,100.00 worth of parts and labor are completed on Helen Wheels (the SS). Moral of the story...buy the aftermarket lower grill to keep large cats from using your entire heat exchangers as an exit door. And cat owners - train your cats to keep it on the track!
Wait. The cat lived through that?!
Wait. The cat lived through that?!
Wait. The cat lived through that?!
