08 SS/TC vs 06 SS/SC
Well fellas I raced my co-workers SC today......and lost. It wasnt the cars fault, he just a better launcher then me. This was my second overall time trying to launch this car and i failed lol. So here we go we were lined up at a light and he launched good and I tried to launch from about 2000 and it didnt work out so good. He got the jump of about 3 cars immediately. I got going and started to reel him in. By the time we shut down he had a car on me. It was a good race overall. I challenged him to a roll race and he declined lol. His mods are a full HKS exhaust, and a intake. Well thats what he says anyway, he bought the car used so hes not sure. Im stock. Thoughts?

sounds about right from a roll you woulda had prolly 2-3 cars on him
and if you launched right it should be a pretty easy win
i have an 06sc and i had similar mods and a tune (stockpully) and could pull stock sstc balts regularly

Do you have any mods for one. I never had a problem with the SCs. Buddy had one with full hahn exhaust, stage 3(yes i know it was the gm tune, but it went really good).

Ohhhh whipped by the belt! Haha jk. I just raced my buddys SS/TC (stock) and my SS/SC with OTTP stage 2 (nothing else, canned tune) and beat it from out the hole and even worse from a roll. But stick a stage 1 in an SS/TC and it's a totally different animal

Well he probably wasn't stock for one, he could have had the gm stg2 and he probably put down the same power as you would stock
Just get tuned and smoke him..haha
ss/tc > ss/sc not in this case though

He would have to be stg 2 I don't see anyway for him to take 3 cars on him
off the launch. I'm stock supercharged I can pull a car maybe 2. But would get toasted after
that haha. Like they say tune it practice ur launch u should be good then.

Heres always a good vid to watch OTTP stage 2 vs stock SS/TC, then races him with a stage 1. The last race from a second gear roll really surprised me. The SS/SC is right on his ass. But from 3rd he gets smoked haha. Goes to show the powerband difference of the SS/SC and SS/TC.

Thats kinda what i said when i bought my car in Febuary lol. "This is my daily driver, i don't want a wideband or a bunch of gauges to tune. I just want to be a bit faster than stock". Welllll i'm running an OTTP stage 2, installing meth, dual pass, heat exchanger and option b in this weekend. Got all my gauges in to get tuned after that lol. It's addicting once you see how much potential the car actually has
just recently SC my car so need to save money. Haha

It didnt look like he had any staging done to his car. I looked at the pulley and didnt see any blue bolts. He may have had some computer tuning but again he isnt sure because he bought the car used. What does a stock SC boost at? So you guys think ill be better off with a tune from trifecta?

I think They boost at 11-12 psi. Yes trifecta is solid look at their webpage contact Vince cool guy
if not Idk if u can use hptuners.... wel do u know what a stg 2 consist of?
