08 SS/TC vs. 08 EVO Rally
So... this is my first run in about 3 months as my car has been down with a blown turbo....but today I was on my way home and a EVO pulled up at the redlight I was at... I had no intentions of a race but the light turns green and I take off like normal, I think I was just half a car in front when he takes off.... I punched it, NLS into 2nd and 3rd then let off, probably put 4 cars on him... my guess is that it was either auto or cant shift.
Since I have put the new turbo on (k04) I have been boosting to 22 and settling at 20. this k04 has a different bpv and wastegate....looked like a bigger spool too. who knows... its much stronger than before

was it a lancer ralliart, or an evo rally. i dont know much about those cars, but i know the ralliart isnt much competition to the ss/tc from a roll. i dont know what an evo rally is.

it was deffinatly a X rally.... the level or whatever right under a MR... adding to that... Heading down to Little Rock 4 or 5 months ago I was running with a EVO X MR and he was having trouble keeping up with me on I40 west.... They are just way too heavy for the power they have.

Ralliart - notice its listed as a trim UNDER THE LANCER!!!!http://www.mitsubishimotors.com/MMNA...imsAndPacksTab
You killed a ralliart - good kill.

OK, before you claim a kill, know what you killed. There is no "X rally" or "Evo rally" or anything else that combines the 2008/2010 Evolutions and "rally". There is the Evo X in either GSR or MR trim. Do you know the difference between the GSR and MR? Then there is the Lancer Ralliart. No the Ralliart is not close to the X in any way shape or form.

Evos are high boost loving cars. Stock"ish" boost levels will make 340-360whp on the stock turbo. I can believe this, tuned TCs arent slouches.

I understand what you're sayin, but what the other guy that I quoted just seems to be a fanboi. I know EVO's can be quick as ****, I absolutely love the AMS EVO, but stock or just bolt on ones arent anything to brag about.

At what point do i seem to be a fanboi? Was it the point that i posted facts? Was it the point that i had to correct the bullshit? Or was it the point that despite all of that i still gave him props for his kill? Huh? Fanboi? Who is talking smack on "stock or just bolt on ones" huh fanboi?

lmao... so much negativity... I smoked a GSR....lol I found that out today, talked to the guy while I was filling up. He is completely stock. Says he was going to get the MR edition but he didn't have 45K. He said he would love to have gotten a SS/TC now... I told him that no he didn't.... You have AWD and way way way more potential in your car... Don't downgrade to FWD... still said he wouldn't mind having one but he congraduated me and told me he gave everything his car had but just couldnt keep up.... I drove away fealing happy as **** lmao
I do remember test driving a 08' MR edition at our local delaership.... I was not impressed... nice ride, just heavy, sluggish around curves, and not very good upper end power....great launcher though thanks to the AWD... Trunk space was horrible! for as big as the car is, WTF? lol great seats though, audio sustem I liked way way better than the cobalts pioneer crap... I would own one, but I would never give my cobalt up... I love it toooooo much, well maybe for a ZR1 lol

Kid? Boy? LOL, I'm more of a man now than you'll ever be. You dont know me, you dont know **** about me. I'm just stating, you busted in talking about how he killed the Lancer Ralliart, how do you really know it wasnt an Evo X? You werent there, so you really dont know.
In any case, to the OP - then i retract my statement and say good kill to you. I see so many people talking out of their asses on here, not knowing what they are talking about. Thank you for either looking up the facts, or clearing up what you had said previously. Stock it would not be any sort of run at all. Find a modded one.
