09 ss turbo vs 05 srt-4

Got my cousin wanting to run me with his srt it has intake and half exhaust out the side my cobalt has full 3" mpx downpipe and exhaust, injen intake and injen hard piping. Whats a good kick down spot for me ya think? MY 05 cobalt ss/sc was sweet in 2nd at 40. Just don't seem like the turbo pulls that hard at 40, maybe it just me haven't had the turbo that long

are you tuned? cause if not your mods don't mean **** lol other than that your intake is messing up readings badly. 40 should be ok if it's not tuned, if it's tuned id start at 60 and brake boost just a lil lol.

You are correct, it does. Which is why Slowline said if he wasn't tuned his mods aren't worth **** lol.

if the SRT only has those mods listed (no tune) you will win as long as you can drive. also, use NLS, that will help out greatly.

nls makes quite a diffrence when racing. if i dont use NLS my friends balt pulls about a half car on me from 40-120. if i use NLS i pull about a car. it does make a diffrence. a lot of SRT guys do it as well (via n2mb WOT box)

you definately need a tune. thats the number 1 thing by far robbing you of power. A friend on here was all stock except he put a catless downpipe on and got tuned by chevycobaltss3 and made i believe 304whp like 359wtq. just a downpipe and a tune! get tuned ASAP! Then instead of not having power at 40MPH you'll be wishing you had traction at 40MPH.

Hey dart. Nls makes a difference which is why it was a joke but im not idiotic enough to nls. Because it is stupid to do ecspecailly when tuned.

LOL

In a nutshell HP tuners if you want to squeeze every ounce of power out of your car or trifecta which is a much more conservative route (unless u ask vince for crazy) Im more than happy with my trifecta tune. Anything more is useless power in my opinion. Unless your into 50 mph rolls. Either way it will be the best couple hundred bucks you ever spent on your car.

Yea doug, try searching the forum. Tons of information out there in regards to either tune. But SSBalt pretty much summed it up perfectly with this post:
