09 TC vs duramax turbo diesel 2500

Raced a duramax turbo diesel 2500 and i pulled on him in the high end. This guy was crazy driving on the highway median. Wish I would have filmed it all the black smoke was badass

do you know how easy it is to mod a diesel?
there is a local ram 2500 with a turbo swap, bullydog, full exhaust etc... pretty much anything you can do, apparently just over 1000hp, and 2500tq

he runs high 10's at 110+mph.

yeah but i doubt he ran that. and if he did he wouldnt take it at the high end.

but they are decently easy to mod with chips and such

hell my dads is pushin of 600 HP. but they are soooooo heavy. hell the motor weighs almost as much as our cars do.

well by the sound of all the smoke, im going to assume it had either a bullydog or banks powerpack. that alone gets rid of the governor. and adds quite a bit of power depending on the stage setting, i think this is a very believable story

or he could of had 1 or more blown injectors. i was drivin my dads turbo'd deisel in las vegas with 4 blown injectors spittin smoke every time i touched the gas. some ass hole cut me off so i pinned the gas when i passed him and filled his car with smoke.

he could of been running hypertech chip too.

you never really know.

and it still doesnt change the fact that he would pull the diesel in the high end unless it was over 120 or so.

i really dont know what you mean there? so your saying he wont pull on the diesel till about 120?
i thought you were arguing they cut out at 97?
and if injectors were blown im pretty sure it wont blow this black smoke? maybe more blue? i thought the black smoke was the truck running rich, as in tons of fuel... please correct me if im wrong?

all the smoke that is coming out is partially burnt diesel.

He said he didnt pull on the diesel till higher end.

So

A. the diesel hit the restrictor at 97 mph and the Tc just pulled by

or B. the diesel had the restrictor removed and Tc started pulling in the XXX Mph barely because diesels are made for torque and gearing is not made for highspeeds (unless modified).

yes i did know that, but your saying you were blowing smoke with blown injectors... that means there is not excess diesel being thrown into the cylinders, therefore it would run lean, not super rich

well tech since 4 blown injectors, all the fuel is doing is passing without being fully burned. henceforth being spit out the exhaust.

only way to remove the governor is by a chip or something to overide the computer. so you might have beeen running it with stage2+

trust me. 09's are so light. but if he made it over 100. he had no govenor. and was chipped.

VIDS OR BAN!

But seriously, would you want to run a 2008 Chevrolet Duramax 3500 dually? He only has an intake, bigger turbo, intercooler, 5" dual exhausts... Oh, & of course a PDA with 9 different settings. 2 of them designed for racing.

my dad has a 03 powerstroke with the 6.0 and a edge programmer and 5in from the turbo back took out the cat. when he lays into it that thing puts out soo much black smoke. the edge has 5 settings, on the 5th setting it gives him 150hp and 250tq

My friends duramax will eat any ss on this site. some dumb powerstroke with stacks was toyin with us so we killed it while were looking back while slowing down a camero ss pushing 500hp comes in and gets smoked out. best one was some kid in daddies c6 vette tryin to impress his girl lost in a mile by 5 cars. he built his engine with bigger turbo's and bully dog.
