So this evening I Decided to go out for a little cruse with the cobalt, well I ended up at the local hot spot were everyone goes up here. Any ways I was cruse n and I had been out for a bout a hour at this time, and An Evo9 MR caught my eye, but I thought nothing of it, for I was on the opposite side of the road heading the other way, well this Evo9 must of turned around right away, cause he caught up to me about ½ mile down the road, now this car was really nice and really clean, it had an exhaust from what I could tell, for it was louder, so were cruse down the road about maybe a mile now, and he’s just messing and messing with me, but I wouldn’t race, so we get to the light his window is down as is mine, and I shouted hey, nice MR, what you got done to that, he rattled off about 10 things exhaust being one of them and a bunch of other stuff, I don’t remember any of the stuff cause he said the **** in a matter of 15 sec, but I did hear him say AMS about 5 times. So the light turns green and we roll forward and I just knew this guy was going to go for it after a short roll, sure ****, we both got on it and it was from about a 10mph roll, dead nuts from 1st to 2nd and I put a car on him from 2nd to 3rd and into third I stayed in the gear from about 5sec and put about another 2 cars, on him. So this guy got really mad of course, I would be too if I had all the **** he said he did from AMS, so he wants to go from a roll now so we went from a 40mph roll, but this time I didn’t put such a lead on him, for my guess is he turned up his boost. Well I still had him by a car so that still a loss for him. So this guy still hasn’t given up yet After I have now beat him twice not once but twice, so if I were him I ‘d be like I’m going to race from a dead stop that cobalt not going to beat me from a launch. So what do you know the next light turned red. At this point the guy driving the Evo9 is just irritated big time. Were at the red light and he just starts revving and revving his engine, I knew he wanted to go from a dead stop(dig) so the light turned green and I said what the hell and went for it, I beat him shockingly once again by a full car length, and about 10 other people witnessed it happened two being good friends and another being my girlfriend. Now for the biggest and best news is, I waved to him after I beat him the 3rd time now and told him that I was stock and that I would pull over and pop the hood, and prove it to him, he just down shifted and took off and I never saw him for the rest of the night. Now seriously the car is stock has no bolt ons of any sort, just a mild tune with 21lbs of boost with hptuners lol, and I no lift shifted every shift which made a big difference as well. But I give the guy in the Evo9 MR Props thou, his car did look nice...and hes car was still fast he just lost 3 time around the board.

Hell of a kill, props, kinda surprising from the dig, what did he rev at, and did you use lauch controll, otherwise good kill.

 

no i didnt not use the launch control setting but, I did use the two step that the car has stock that was reset from 6k from the factory to 3k with hptuners, and he launched from about 3-4 grand my guess

 

... must be one hell of a tune...

bolt on evos are nothing to **** with when driven properly. very nice kill. be weary. i've seen bolt on evo's trap 115.

Havnt been to a dyno yet but projected whp is 320-350 and 280-290wtqr going to dyno in spring

It had evo MR badges in the back trunk, it had the sonic the hedgehog spoiler on the top rear window. It also had the the limited wheels from the MR, and the MR front bumper is a little different on the front lower lip and he had that 2, plus he never said it wasnt an MR when i said hey nice MR..what you got done to it.

I ran in to the same guy tonight and he wouldnt even mess with me, he buddy came over to talk to me at culver where we were stopped and didnt believe me that i was stock, he wouldnt tell repeat what the list of he buddy had done to his car all he did say was he did have alot of part from ams and that he was PIST

i ran a 13.79 in the 1/4 with out this tune a month ago

 

modded evo puts it deep in 12's lol

 

from a roll without any doubts yes!. but from stop i dont know(you said he launched @ 3-4k not good ). it's a low 13 stock and with 10 bolt ons i can safely say it's a 12 sec car. we can say all we want but you still won so props to you! be safe!

 

im pretty sure when i get to the track in spring with this tune im sitting at mid 12's. I beat my friends srt4 with this tune and he runs 13.1 13. 13.2's all day.. soo well have to wait and see when i get to the track either way im happy with beating the evo stock or not,

 

The traps will tell more than the 1/4 mile time itself.
