1/8 mile times!

i went to the denton dragway 1/8 mile track last night and ran some pretty good times i think... here are some times.

vs. red '05 cobalt ss/sc; me= 9.32/him=9.84

(bad launch) vs. red 5.0 stang; me= 9.88/him=9.43

vs. white 5.0 stang; me=9.45/him=9.14

vs white '98 style gt stang; me=9.22/him=9.47

overall pretty good runs i guess, i was consistent with a 76mph finish everytime. im hoping to get a 9.0 soon with a slightly better launch. how do these compare with what yall have done? i have no clue what our cars usually run in the 1/8...

Heh, no one really does either. Most of the tracks the rest of us have gone to are al 1/4 mile tracks.

Nice run though, they are fairly consistant.

Yes.

If I had to guess, I'd bet your 9.22 would come out to a 14.6 or so, give or take a tenth or 2, so that's above average. Could be wrong, but anyway. What was your 60ft time for the 9.22 run? That should give you a good idea how much you could bring that down. Nice times.

You should look at a GT35R for the STi. 400+whp with a minor upgrade. I got my teeth kicked in by one the last time at track(11.3 to my 11.9). I tried the GT30R and it just didn't play nice with the 2.0L, little too much lag for my taste, but I've ridden in a two different GT35R STis and they were absolutely fantastic. Damn if only they had the sack to bring the STi wagon to the states. Oh well.

my 60ft. time on the 9.22 run was 2.18s. i had a little wheel spin on the launch, but not too much. the track i was at is not the best for getting your tires to hook up, so im sure a better track, along with even better driving, would result in a little better time for me.
