driving to work this morn, no traffic in the tide flats in tacoma, anybody from washington should know where that is, well anyways its a loooong road thats speed limit 50 and its pretty straight except for a few s curves... well im rollin through kinda weavin around what cars were there and this z06 pulls out behind me from a parking lot, so naturally i pick up the pace a little bit and he follows, im playing it cool because he and i both know that he would DESTROY me... but it was kinda like the old cobalt commercial when it first came out, with the ss bumpinb hte z06 and then the z06 does that filth-master burnout/half doughnut and comes to face the ss... well anyways we get to this light and he looks at me and i look at him... and he looks at the light and i look at he light, i smile and laugh and he kinda smirks.... then it turned green neither of us really went, it was kinda to see if we had it.... so i take off liek a bat out of hell, well as 'bat out of hell'ish' as a 2.4 can, and he catches up like nobodies business, no surprise, then he kinda toys with me and sandbags it waiting for me to catch up, we got to about 100 and a light came up, but i had to go around a car so i ended up behind him, he was looking at me in his rearview and smiling, he gave me the thumbs up and on green we both went, he naturally had like 20 lengths on me before he hit third, and when he did hit third, he sent the rear end when he shifted, picture this, like a 80-100 mph sideways action... wish i had my video ready on my razr i would have catpured it for you, well anyways i know i wanst goin to win so dont rag on me like 'you had no chance blah blah blah' i know i had no chance it was just fun to fart around and this time for all the state farm reps here i was not around traffic at my high speeds, and it was a relatively straight road i was driving on so dont complain about me being 'unsafe' or 'reckless' please

hey aleast you had a laff! same thing for me the other day I was racing around the industrial park where I work (4;00am notraffic) with this bmw, well I was cleaning up on all the tight windy roads but when we got to the final straitaway he just killed me, we had a laff on the way home because we both knew he would just smoke me on the staitaway.

 

That's awesome. I love Vettes. I think it's cool though when fellow gm owners play it cool even though they know they have the better car. I got a thumbs up from a sick GTO last week.

I actually ran against CS/SS on the track. We hust happened to get lined up and while we were waiting for our runs, we chat for few minutes. He said his CS/SS was bone stock and that he knew he was going to get murdered but said he didn't care, he enjoyed racing his car, dude was pretty cool to talk to.

He ended up running high 14s with 97 mph traps speed, I ran 12.1@118. This was only time that I've ran against CS/SS.

 

at least u didnt lie like most of the kill stories on here. even in the ss/sc the corvette would destroy us... and somebody stupid would say their cobalt won...
