2.5L Turbo Subi Legacy vs 2003 Celica GT RIcer
i think your mistaken.. you are probably thinking about the GT (140hp at the crank). we can go back and forth with this... i can refer you to a sight and you can refer this and that.. i haven't seen a 400+whp cobalt ss/sc not even a vid of one but i've seen a 640whp celica GT-S

cool, pat yourself on the back for seeing a 640 WHP celica gt-s. means celicas are better then all cobalts in the world.
spend more time on this site and you will find a few 400+ horsepower Cobalt SS
stock for stock a ss/sc would beat a GTS...no question..your comparing a 215 WHP car to a 160 WHP car.
but hey...people once thought a 2.4SS could take a 2.0
in no way am i saying that celicas are better than cobalts. i'm just stating that a good gt-s driver will hang and/or beat a ss/sc. of course this is stock to stock. put mods in the mix it all depends on who's pockets are deeper. and believe me the celica isn't cheap!! i'm 13k invested from parts and labor but i'll save that for another thread..

a stock ss/sc vs a celica gt-s. same drivers in both situations, the ss/sc will win everytime, i can promise you that.
im not bias, im usally the first to admit when/what will beat a cobalt...but your GTS will not. sorry mate, you can keep beating a dead horse..but your not going to get anywere
be more opened minded please, celica's are not gods, learn to know what they can beat and what they cant, dont base this off of one time happenings.

noo im not mistaken ok thanks. i meant the GTS like you said puts down what...160 WHP? 2.4L cobalts put that down stock..woohoo.

He is right, you are wrong. The GT-S is a 2600-2700 pound car correct? Like you said it puts down about 160fwhp stock. Most cobalt ss supercharged's put down a little over 200fwhp stock. a 40fwhp advantage will not be outweighed by 300 pounds when the ss has a flatter torque curve on top of the major power advantage. A GT-S will not trap 100MPH.

yeah, i've never had an issue with a gt-s in my 2.4.
i'm not saying that they can't be quick, but i don't think that they could regularly whoop an SC. that said, i beat a shelby GT in my car...

GT's or GT-S's??? a GT stand no chance in hell!!! that is a fact. GT-S stand a small fighting chance. that is all. and yes i know a GT-S is a slower car and yes i have delt with that as my mod list shows.
but the fact remains, that day at desoto raceway, i beat a shelby GT in the 1/4 mile.

Nice kill.
Agreed! Unless the SS/SC owner has issues with driving.
